Mandala Theatre-Nepal is a theatre organization based in Kathmandu, Nepal. It is a group of young, enthusiastic, dedicated and diverse theatre artist. After long training and individual involvement in this field, Mandala Theatre-Nepal was formed to work together.

We are looking forward to hire urgently part time Admin and Finance Officer for Civil Peace Service Program (CPSP) supported by GIZ/ZFD. 

Summary of Position 

Position: Admin and Finance Officer (Part-Time) 

The Admin and Finance Officer will be fully responsible in planning, managing and reporting the projects supported by GIZ/ZFD to Mandala Theatre-Nepal. He will work closely with Mandala’s Peace Advisors and Board of Mandala Theatre to support Mandala in developing and implementing relevant plans, concepts and strategies, as well as to provide opportunities of professional development in the field through finance and admin section.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with Mandala's Peace-Building Team in planning, implementation and monitoring of the projects through finance and management perspective.
  • Develop and follow a clear finance procedure for project implementation in Mandala in regard to GIZ-ZFD regulations.
  • Developing budgets, financial proposal and finance reports for projects.
  • Make a proper plan and ensure effective spending of the budget. 
  • Document staff leave and similar administrative tasks.
  • Maintain the necessary TAX, TDS and ETDS of the transactions.
  • Keep all the financial transaction in the software (TALLY)
  • Provide support during the conduction of program activities, training, and meetings.
  • Establish and timely update the inventory records and conduct physical verification from time to time.
  • Annual Auditing, work for SWC project approval and request SWC and local level government for monitoring and evaluation and yearly renewal of organization (Mandala NGO).
  • Any other tasks assigned by the supervisors.

Skill, Qualification and Experience

Mandatory

  • Minimum of Bachelor´s Degree in Accounting or Finance or Business Management, Public Administration or other relevant field. 
  • Minimum of three years of work experience in Development sector, NGO or any arts organization.
  • In-depth Knowledge of accounting process, office package in computer and Tally.
  • Strong attention to detail. 
  • Outstanding and analytical time management and administrative skill.
  • Good team player, willingness to learn, share and work in a group of diverse members.

Desirable

  • Basic knowledge of the financial procedure and process of the donors.
  • Training in relevant field (management, financial management, accounting) is preferable.
  • Understanding of SWC (Social Welfare Council) procedure.
  • Experience in handling funded projects is preferable.
  • Additional work experience with national and or international non-governmental organizations will be an added advantage.
  • Work experience with national or international art organization (theatre, music and film) will be added advantages. 
  • Written and verbal communication in both English and Nepali is preferable.

Exam Type: Written and Interview

Location: Department of Finance, Mandala Theatre – Nepal, Thapagaun, Kathmandu.

Salary: Negotiable

Working Hour: 10 AM – 5 PM (Flexible. 29 hours/week) 

Duration: Initial contract duration of 7 months with high possibility of extension based on satisfactory performance. Probation period will be for two months. 

Reporting: The personnel will directly report to the National Peace Advisor and Executive Director of Mandala Theatre-Nepal
