Practical Action invites applications for the position of Accounts Associate to work for Practical Action Office Nepal. The position holder will be based in Kathmandu.
About the role
We are looking for a competent Accounts Associate to provide accounting services to staff and vendors, handle petty cash, make payments to service providers, partner organizations and staff, support staff in opening bank accounts as necessary and support for project/statutory audits and maintaining filing system in the finance section. The Accounts Associate shall report to the Accounts Specialist.
About you
You have a strong understanding of financial processes, ensuring timely payments to vendors, partner organizations, and staff (within 3 working days), as well as prompt settlement of travel and other advances. You support the opening of bank accounts and retirement fund accounts for new staff (within 7 working days) and ensure timely deposit of ARF. With a keen eye for compliance, you manage petty cash in line with organizational policy, maintain an organized filing system, and assist in both project and statutory audit processes.
