About e-Education
e-Education is a certified Japanese non-profit educational organization established in February 2010 under the mission “Best Education to edge of the World.” We deliver high-quality video-based education to children in rural areas of developing countries who lack access to learning opportunities, helping them achieve their dreams.
To date, we have reached more than 30,000 junior and senior high school students across 14 countries. Currently, our activities focus on four countries in South and Southeast Asia: Bangladesh, the Philippines, Myanmar, and Nepal, targeting junior and senior secondary school students.
In Nepal, we work to bridge the significant educational gap between urban and rural areas by improving teacher capacity in mathematics and science and enhancing student learning outcomes through the integration of ICT and video-based teaching materials. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee day-to-day financial operations of the organization.
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Maintain proper accounting records in compliance with Nepal Financial Reporting Standards (NFRS).
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely settlements.
- Prepare payroll and ensure compliance with labor laws, tax, and social security regulations.
- Monitor budgets, track project expenditures, and provide regular financial updates to management.
- Coordinate with auditors and ensure timely completion of annual audits.
- Support the preparation of donor financial reports in compliance with funding agreements.
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of all financial transactions.
- Assist in financial planning, forecasting, and risk management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting and financial management, preferably in INGOs or NGOs.
- Strong knowledge of Nepali taxation, VAT, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks) and MS Office applications.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Nepali.
- High ethical standards and attention to detail.
- Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience working in INGOs or Japanese INGOs.
