Country Director -Nepal

Marie Stopes International are recruiting a Country Director for our Nepal Programme. Based in Katmandu, the Country Director will be MSI’s senior representative in the country, working closely with governments, donors and other key stakeholders to promote access to safe, affordable, reliable family planning and other sexual and reproductive health services.

The progamme in Nepal employs c. 240 staff, with 36 clinics, 12 outreach teams and a planned launch of our 'Marie Stopes Ladies' model in 2015. With a turnover of c.£3m and a low cost base, we reached over 200,000 clients in 2013.

Our current Country Director is being promoted internally, hence we are seeking a leader to continue building strong relationships with the Nepalese government and grow the organisation, through staff management and capacity building. 

As the Country Director you will oversee and navigate this growth by preparing and executing the annual budgets, marketing plans. This will include developing new business opportunities; overseeing financial, administrative and logistical resources; ensuring adherence to MSI standards; and assuring quality operations in line with annual and long-term strategic goals and objectives, keeping the client at the heart of everything we do.
