Role Overview

Lotus Embrace Virtual Assistant : We are looking for a Web Developer for our partner company ( Contract )

Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the company’s directory website. This role includes building core functionality, managing user-facing and admin features, ensuring a seamless user experience, and optimising the site for performance, scalability, and SEO. The Web Developer will collaborate closely with the design, marketing, and management teams to ensure the website reflects the brand and meets business goals.

Key Responsibilities

Website Development and Management

• Develop a directory website with searchable, filterable listings and profile pages.
• Build user registration, login, and submission features.
• Maintain and update website content, features, and plugins.
• Ensure mobile responsiveness, SEO optimization, and fast performance.
• Integrate API s, payment gateways, and analytic tools.
• Collaborate with design, content, and marketing teams to implement new pages and campaigns.
• Troubleshoot issues and implement ongoing improvements.

Website Media Management

• Maintain and update website media content, including images, videos, graphics, and banners.
• Ensure website content is visually appealing, on-brand, and optimised for user experience.
• Collaborate with marketing and design teams to implement new pages, campaigns, and landing content.
• Monitor website performance, SEO best practices, and suggest improvements for content structure.
• Support blog or news updates, product/service galleries, and other digital assets as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

• 4+ years of experience in web development (front-end & back-end).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven experience building directory-style or complex websites.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React. etc.
• Back-end experience with Node.js, PHP, Laravel, WordPress, or similar.
• Database management experience (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB).
• Knowledge of CMS platforms, API integration, and website optimization.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Passion for building scalable, user-friendly digital experiences.
