JOB PURPOSE: 

Support the DIO (Nepal) mission by operating and maintaining the boilers, heating and water treatment plants.

KEY TASKS:

• Operate and maintain all fixed electrical and mechanical plant on the BGN estate.
• Operate and maintain the BGK water treatment works.
• Operate and maintain on-site boiler plant, as required.
• Operate and maintain on-site Solar water heater unit for swimming pool.
• Operate and maintain on-site Solar water heater unit for domestic hot water.

Ideal candidate will display quality, efficiency, consistency in key areas of operation with organized approach.   Should be able to produce standard work with minimum supervision within given time and should have understanding of the following:

Desired experience and qualifications:

• Minimum level of education required is SLC or SEE completed.
• Show proof of previous experience in the operation of a Water Treatment Plant or be able to demonstrate competence as a Water Plant Operator or be able to produce a proof on Water Quality Management training.
• You will be required to have a fair command of written and spoken English and Nepali.
• Have a good working knowledge of water treatment and testing.
• Have a good working knowledge of the operation and maintenance of a water heating plant (Boiler Plant).
• Be capable of conducting a wide range of chemical tests on water samples, using a Palin test kit.
• Be familiar with all relevant Health & Safety at work matters relating to their area of responsibility.
• Be able to understand, absorb and retain technical theory and skills, and have the ability to understand instructions given in English and Nepali.
• Must be physically fit with good eyesight and hearing, and be capable of carrying assessed loads and climbing ladders/scaffolding and preferably competent to work at height or in confined spaces.

BENEFITS :

Salary: NPR. 49145.00

Duty Hours: 40hrs a week

Leave: Annual 25 days, Public Holidays 10 days

Medical: 100% reimbursement for job holder and limited reimbursement for immediate dependents
