Introduction:

The primary purpose of the Labourer is to assist the Pax and Freight Supervisors with movement assistance required at Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA).

This position is advertised at 40 hours per week.

Job description:

  • Assisting entitled passengers (inclusive of School Children Visit (SCVs), Duty Visitors, Compassionate, VIP/VVIPs) with baggage handling and immigration as required at TIA (both Domestic and International terminals).
  • Assisting passengers independently in case of absence of the Asst Pax Supervisors as detailed by Pax Supervisor/Team Lead.
  • Loading/unloading stores into the BGN and Customs bonded warehouse as directed by the Air Freight handling Supervisor or Asst Freight Supervisor.
  • Any other duties as directed by Line Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining the offices and immediate surroundings to a hygienic standard as directed by the Team Lead or Supervisors of Mov Det TIA.
  • Assisting with freight include FPO mail handling at TIA.
  • Any other duties as detailed by the Team Lead.

You must have:

  • Good written / spoken skills in both English and Nepali language.
  • Basic knowledge of commercial airlines, travel agents, Customs, immigration and airport security procedures in Nepal.
  • Proven experience, qualifications, and training is preferable for this role to deliver the job responsibility effectively and efficiently.
  • You will be assessed on your Health and Safety at work, and Physical fitness to qualify for interviews during the sifting and selection process.
  • Candidates with Secondary Education (SLC/SEE) with reasonable standard of English language and relevant experience are preferred.

  • Salary 47,885.00 NPR per month (Permanent).
  • Gratuity after completing three years of service.
