Introduction:

The primary purpose of the Assistant Passenger Supervisor Mov Det Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) is to support the Passenger Supervisor/Team Lead in providing airport assistance to passengers at Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA).

This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.

Job description:

  • Receipt and despatch of entitled passengers including (but not limited to) (School Children Visit) SCVs, Duty Visitors, dangerously ill forwarding of relatives (DILFOR) and compassionate cases at TIA (both Domestic and International terminals).  Ensuring that passenger handling is timely and smooth as tasked by the Pax Supervisor/Team Lead.
  • Assisting non-Nepali passport holders to gain the correct visa for their length of stay/visit.
  • Assisting the Pax Supervisor/Team Lead in VVIP/VIP/Military movements.
  • Maintaining close working relationship with airlines, Airport Security, Customs and Immigration authorities to influence relations with BGN to ensure speedy and effective operations.
  • Any other duties as directed by Line Manager.

What you will be doing:

Responsibilities:

  • Providing an updated Flight Programme detailing the movement of passengers into, around and out of Nepal. Tasking Labourers as per the need for passenger movement as detailed by the Pax Supervisor/Team Lead.
  • Updating and coordinating with the Pax Supervisor/Team Lead with un-forecasted changes with passenger’s travel arrangements.
  • Deputising for the Pax Supervisor during periods of absence.
  • Any other duties as tasked by the Movement Control Warrant Officer (MCWO) or Team Lead.

You must have:

  • Excellent written/spoken skills in both English and Nepali language.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
  • Basic knowledge of commercial airlines, travel agents, Customs, immigration and airport security procedures in Nepal. (Higher

  • You must have excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication and engagement with external agencies.
  • Individuals with college degree (Higer Secondary) and having experience and exposure to commercial airlines, travel agents, Customs, immigration and airport security procedures in Nepal are preferred for this job.

  • Salary 69,207.00 NPR per month (Permanent).

Successful candidates must meet the security requirements before they can be appointed. The level of security needed is a Govt of Nepal Police Report for employment in Nepal.
