Background

A national-level organization is implementing school-based interventions to promote Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) practices through Behavior Change Communication (BCC) approaches. The project aims to improve hygiene awareness and practices among students and teachers.

Major Responsibilities

• Conduct WASH/BCC sessions in assigned schools for students and focal teachers
• Coordinate with school authorities for scheduling and implementation
• Deliver sessions using standard training materials and methodologies
• Ensure quality facilitation and active participation
• Maintain required documentation

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

• Intermediate or above in Health, Nursing, Public Health, WASH or related field
• Freshers (ANM/Staff Nurse) are encouraged to apply
• Health clinic providers are also encouraged to apply
• Prior experience in community facilitation in Wash or school engagement is an asset
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to travel within assigned districts

Training and Support

• Selected candidates will receive a half-day virtual orientation/training
• Training materials and facilitation guidelines will be provided

Samvaad Nepal is building a professional roster of qualified and experienced individuals who may be engaged on a short-term, assignment-based, or project basis for upcoming communication, creative, and program-related assignments.

We are looking for professionals with relevant skills, experience, and a strong commitment to quality work. Inclusion in the roster does not guarantee an assignment; selected professionals will be contacted based on the requirements and scope of specific projects.

Positions for Roster

1. Program Associate

We are looking for individuals who can support program implementation, coordination, documentation, research, communication, and other project-related activities.

Preferred qualifications and experience:

• Relevant academic background in social sciences, development studies, communications, management, or a related field.
• Experience supporting development, social impact, NGO/INGO, or community-based projects.
• Good coordination, documentation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

2. Program Coordinator

We are looking for experienced professionals who can support or lead the coordination and implementation of projects and assignments.

Preferred qualifications and experience:

• Relevant academic background in development studies, social sciences, communications, management, or related fields.
• Prior experience coordinating projects, programs, events, trainings, research, or community-based activities.
• Experience working with NGOs, INGOs, development partners, or social impact organizations is preferred.
• Strong coordination, planning, reporting, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver within agreed timelines.

3. Creative Professionals – Graphic Designer, Videographer & Video Editor

We are building a roster of creative professionals who can support communication campaigns, social and digital content, events, publications, documentaries, and other creative assignments.

This roster includes:

• Graphic Designer
• Videographer
• Video Editor

Preferred qualifications and experience:

• Demonstrated professional experience in the relevant creative field.
• Strong understanding of visual communication, storytelling, branding, and digital content.
• Previous experience working with NGOs, INGOs, development organizations, social impact initiatives, or communication agencies is preferred.
• Ability to understand project briefs and translate concepts into high-quality creative outputs.
• Ability to work within timelines and respond to feedback professionally.
• Familiarity with relevant design, video production, editing, and post-production tools.

Portfolio / Work Samples – Required

Applicants for the creative roster must submit a portfolio or relevant work samples demonstrating their skills and previous work.

For videographers and video editors, applicants may share links to selected videos, films, reels, documentaries, campaign content, or other relevant productions.

For graphic designers, applicants may share a portfolio showcasing branding, campaign materials, social media content, publications, infographics, illustrations, or other relevant work.

Applicants may submit a portfolio link, website, Google Drive folder, or other accessible online link.

General Requirements

• Relevant educational background and/or professional experience in the respective field.
• Strong professional ethics and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Good communication and time-management skills.

• Experience in the development sector will be an added advantage.
