Progressive youth Society (PYS) is a non-governmental, non-profitable and non-religious organization. It was registered under district administrative office Bajhang on March 29, 2004 according to social welfare act 2034, in Bajhang. Since then, PYS has been engaging in various components of community development through various project reaching out to the children, adolescent, youth, women, People with disabilities, conflicts and disaster survivors from marginalized and underprivileged groups.
In partnership with People in Need (PIN), PYS is implementing Pratibaddha IV in Thalara Rural Municipality and Kedarsyu Rural Municipality of Bajhang district. Therefore, now PYS is seeking qualified, dynamic and motivated Nepali citizens for the following positions for smooth implementation of project.

| 1. | Disaster Risk Management Coordinator (1-Nos.) | - Master's degree in Environmental Science, DRR&M, Social Science or related field (Bachelor's with substantial relevant experience may be considered)
- Minimum (3-5) years working experience in managing multiple projects with diverse team
| - Demonstrated depth of experience and effectiveness preferably in an NGO context in working with community/grassroots people and organizations.
- Extensive experience and recognized expertise in models and methods of training, facilitation and capacity building, Project Management and organizational development for staffs, communities and government stakeholders.
- Able to conduct site reconnaissance and technical surveys to observe existing conditions and identify hazards and risk areas
- Facilitate coordination among government agencies, technical institutions, communities, and other stakeholders for timely dissemination of early warning information.
- Coordinate with governmental agencies for smooth implementation of reconstruction and retrofitting works and assist in database management of NDRRMA .
- Maintain regular coordination with relevant ministries, provincial authorities, District Disaster Management Committees (DDMCs), Local Disaster Management Committees (LDMCs), and other government stakeholders.
- Conduct periodic staff performance appraisals against the set performance objectives contributing to programme deliverables with proper performance management system in place.
- Have a good technical knowledge and experience on sector, data and information management.
- At least (3-5) years of working experience in NGO sectors

| 2. | Disaster Risk Management Field Officers (2-Nos.) | - Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, DRR&M, Social Science or a related field.
| - Provide management to DRR project and monitor performance of project team in implementation of project ensuring projects are delivered on scope, on time and on budget as per the agreements.
- Understanding of legal documents on DRR&M, humanitarian structure, emergency response mechanisms, and humanitarian principles and standards
- Proficiency in oral and written communication in English and Nepali.
- In coordination with Field sector lead- DRR relationships and engagement with government line agencies, other INGOs/NGOs, research institutions and private sector at local and district levels in alignment with project strategy/plan.
- Two years of experience in implementing DRR, humanitarian response-related programs.
