About Share and Care Nepal and RISE Project

Share and Care Nepal (SCN) is a people-centred community transformation organization serving communities in Nepal since 1993. SCN works alongside communities to promote dignity, empowerment, resilience and sustainable transformation. The RISE Project – Response, Inclusion, Support & Resilience for Flood-Affected Communities is SCN’s emergency response and recovery initiative supporting flood-affected families and communities in Rasuwa and Nuwakot. The project provides immediate humanitarian assistance while supporting early recovery, community engagement and resilience-building, with particular attention to vulnerable and severely affected households.  All positions are field-based in Kalikasthan, Rasuwa district, or adjacent operational areas.

SCN invites applications from qualified, committed and motivated Nepali citizens for the following positions:

1. FIELD COORDINATOR

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise overall field implementation and field teams.
• Coordinate relief, shelter, livelihood recovery, psychosocial support and DRR-related activities.
• Liaise with local governments, DDMC and other humanitarian stakeholders.
• Monitor emerging needs, implementation quality, safety and inclusion.
• Ensure assistance reaches vulnerable and affected households effectively and accountably.
• Provide timely field information, progress updates and reports.

Qualification & Experience

• Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Rural Development, Disaster Management or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant field experience, preferably in humanitarian response, recovery or DRR.
• Experience in multi-sector humanitarian programming and community engagement.
• Strong coordination, supervision, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability and willingness to work extensively in remote and challenging field conditions.

2. Emergency RESPONSE & RECOVERY OFFICER (CRRO)- 2 positions

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct/support needs assessments, household identification and verification.
• Facilitate relief distribution, recovery and community-based activities.
• Engage communities and ensure vulnerable and marginalized households are prioritized.
• Support community feedback, referrals and accountability mechanisms.
• Supervise/support community mobilization and conduct post-distribution follow-up.
• Maintain accurate field records and provide regular progress updates.

Qualification & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Rural Development, Development Studies or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant community development or humanitarian response experience.
• Experience in community facilitation, beneficiary targeting, protection/inclusion and field monitoring.
• Strong communication, facilitation and reporting skills.
• Knowledge of local language and context will be an advantage.

3. LOGISTICS & PROCUREMENT OFFICER (LPO)

Key Responsibilities

• Manage procurement of relief supplies, project goods and services.
• Coordinate transportation, warehousing, inventory and distribution logistics.
• Manage suppliers, procurement documentation, stock and asset records.
• Ensure quality, value for money and timely delivery of supplies.
• Maintain complete and audit-ready logistics/procurement documentation.
• Ensure compliance with SCN and funding partner procurement requirements.

Qualification & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant procurement/logistics experience, preferably in NGO/humanitarian settings.
• Knowledge of competitive procurement, inventory and supply-chain procedures.
• Strong integrity, negotiation, documentation and organizational skills.
• Valid driving licence preferred.

4. LOGISTICS ASSISTANT / DRIVER

Key Responsibilities

• Safely transport staff, relief supplies and project materials.
• Support loading, unloading, delivery and distribution of relief items.
• Maintain vehicle safety, cleanliness, servicing and basic maintenance.
• Maintain accurate vehicle logbook, mileage and fuel records.
• Support warehouse, procurement and other field logistics as required.
• Follow SCN safety, security and vehicle-use procedures.

Qualification & Experience

• Minimum +2/SEE with relevant experience; higher qualification will be an advantage.
• Valid Nepali driving licence with a good driving record.
• * 2 years of professional driving experience, preferably with NGO/humanitarian programmes.
• Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge and ability to drive safely on rural, mountainous and difficult roads.
• Flexible and willing to provide wider logistics support during emergency operations.
