Jan Chetana Abhiyan Nepal (JCAN), Saptari, is a non-governmental organization actively working in the field of community development. In joint partnership with CARE Nepal and iDE, the organization is implementing the "Nurture Every Future - POSHAN Nepal Project." To smoothly run the project activities across Hanumannagar Kankalini Municipality, Saptakoshi Municipality, Kanchanrup Municipality, and Balan Bihul Rural Municipality of Saptari district, applications are cordially invited from qualified, eligible, and interested Nepali citizens for the positions detailed below.

1. Field Officer – 1 Position

  • Purpose of the Position: Coordinate, facilitate, implement, and monitor multi-sectoral nutrition interventions at the municipal level. Lead coordination, planning, budgeting, implementation, reporting, and advocacy for nutrition-sensitive and nutrition-specific interventions while ensuring system strengthening and GESI integration.
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Support implementation of approved plans (DIP/MIP) in coordination with project teams and stakeholders.
    • Mainstream GESI, women’s empowerment, and positive social norms in municipal nutrition planning.
    • Facilitate development of Municipal Nutrition Profiles and integrated nutrition action plans.
    • Promote nutrition-sensitive, climate-resilient agriculture, and local food systems targeting vulnerable households.
    • Deliver training, coaching, and technical support on MSNP/NFLG to local governments and stakeholders.
    • Provide technical backstopping to Health, WASH, and Agriculture facilitators.
    • Conduct regular field monitoring to ensure quality implementation, MEAL tracking, and GESI integration.
    • Facilitate NFSSC and ward-level coordination mechanisms to strengthen multi-sectoral planning.
  • Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Nutrition, Agriculture, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in nutrition, public health, livelihoods, or local governance. Proven experience in multi-sectoral coordination and working with local governments is required.
  • Key Knowledge: Knowledge of MSNP, NFLG, GESI, safeguarding, and MEAL systems.

2. Agriculture Officer – 1 Position

  • Purpose of the Position: Lead the implementation of nutrition-sensitive, climate-smart agriculture, and food system interventions. Provide technical backstopping to field staff and manage reporting, data, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Lead planning, implementation, and monitoring of nutrition-sensitive, climate-smart agriculture and livelihood interventions.
    • Strengthen household kitchen gardens to ensure year-round production of diverse, nutrient-rich foods.
    • Promote climate-resilient practices, composting, bio-pesticides, IPM, and water-efficient technologies.
    • Oversee implementation, data management, and partner mobilization for the digital input voucher (Kisan Card) system.
    • Design and deliver trainings, workshops, and modules on nutrition gardens, climate-smart agriculture, and post-harvest management.
    • Ensure strict field presence with at least 70% field engagement for monitoring and community-level backstopping.
  • Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Science (B.Sc. Ag.).
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in livelihood, nutrition-sensitive agriculture, or community farming development projects.

3. Field Facilitator (Health & WASH) – 2 Position (Saptakoshi Municipality & Balan Bihul RM)

  • Key Responsibilities: Conduct community-level Health, Nutrition, and WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) awareness sessions; facilitate mothers' groups; track nutrition outcomes.
  • Qualifications: Certificate in Nursing (PCL), HA, AHW, or ANM from a recognized institution.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of field experience in community health, nutrition, or WASH programs. 

4. Field Facilitator (Agriculture) – 2 Positions (Saptakoshi Municipality & Balan Bihul RM)

  • Key Responsibilities: Mobilize local farmer groups; provide hands-on technical support for agriculture and household nutrition activities; distribute project inputs.
  • Qualifications: JTA (Agriculture) or I.Sc. Ag. from a recognized institution.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of grassroots experience in agriculture extension or community farming support.
