Group of Helping Hands (SAHAS) Nepal is a non-profit making non-governmental-organization founded in 1996 since then engaging social mobilization, grassroots organisation/Community-Based Network Organisation (CBNO) formation and enhancing their capacity through partnership and implementing diverse programme and projects in the sectors of sustainable agriculture, livelihood, food security, climate justice, advocacy and lobby, quality education, youth development in 21 districts of Nepal.
SAHAS Nepal is looking the potential candidates for the following positions:
1. Position: District Program Coordinator
Project: Building Empowered and Resilient Communities by Strengthening Livelihoods, Inclusion, Education and Food Security (BELIEF) Project
Duty station: Rolpa district
Required number: 1
Academic qualification and experiences:
- Master's degree in Social sciences, development studies or in Education with at least two years' experience in relevant sectors, Bachelor's degree in Social sciences, development studies, Education with at least five years' experience in relevant field.
- Experience of project management including planning, budgeting, monitoring and reporting, and developing proposals.
- Experiences on participatory research, development approach, lobby and advocacy with understanding of local context and sensitiveness
- Good coordination, communication and enthusiasm for working with vulnerable communities living in project areas
- Good communication and analytical skills
- Knowledge on financial management and staff supervision and capacity building
- Good inter-personal, analytical, communication and facilitation skills
- Fluent in oral and written Nepali and English language
- Good coordination skills and efficient team player
Major Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to the district project team in planning, budgeting, implementation, monitoring and reporting of the field activities in line with the project goal and objectives
- Keep all the project staffs updated on project requirement; implementation guideline, tools and procedure for their understanding and use
- Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, semi-annually and annually report to the focal person
- Review project budget, track the expenditure of budget regularly
- Organise review meeting of the project at district, identify the gaps and issues and take the action accordingly for the further improvement
- Coordinate with rural municipality level line agencies and like-minded organisations to develop the synergy in programs
2. Position: Project Officer
Projects: Local Initiatives for Food Security Transformation Project (LIFT VI)
Duty station: Udayapur district
Required number: 1
Academic qualification/experiences:
- Bachelor’s degree in agriculture from the recognized university with at least 2 years’ experiences in resilience livelihood, agriculture, food security and nutrition
- Excellent knowledge in statistical tools, data analysis, monitoring and report writing skill
- Good coordination skills in community development, empowerment, networking, lobby and advocacy
- Leadership, effective communication and time management
- Knowledge on financial management and staff supervision, development and efficient team player
- Fluent in oral and written Nepali and English language
Major responsibilities:
- Planning Yearly, Quarterly and Monthly of the project activities based on the need assessment of target groups
- Review project budget, track the expenditure of budget regularly
- Provide technical support to the district project team in planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting of the field activities in line with the project goal and objectives
- implementation of the planned activities in line with project budget and time frame and analysis of target vs achievement and burn rate.
- Design and organize trainings and workshops for technical capacity building of Community Based Organisations (CBOs), Community Based Network Organisation (CBNO) partner and smallholder farmers
- Provide technical backstopping and supervision to the field staff in project related activities
- Assist to prepare proposal to CBNOs and report writing
- Follow up, monitoring and report writing of project progress in relation to activities, outputs, outcomes and impact (based on log frame/Outcome Impact Orientation)
- Represent rural municipality, district level agencies for coordination and cooperation and access resources.
3. Position: Health Technician
Projects: Local Initiatives for Food Security Transformation Project (LIFT VI)
Duty station: Achham district
Required number: 1
Academic qualification/experiences:
- Staff Nursed/ANM passed from the recognized College/University
- Two years working experiences in the Community Development sectors especially in community health and nutrition
- Knowledge in health and hygiene and ability to conduct training and development with capacity building
- Good facilitation and coordination skills
- Ability to work in remote areas communities
- Efficient team player
Major responsibilities:
- Effective delivery of training related to project activities
- Proven ability to provide sound technical support and effective problem solving
- Coordination and communication with Rural Municipalities/Municipalities and stakeholders
- Prepare quality reports of the activities in Nepali language
