Opportunity Village Nepal (OVN) advocates for the rights of women and children and for their economic and social justice. The focus of its programs continues to be on the abolition of child labor, prevention of human trafficking, promotion of girl child education and empowerment of women through various innovative strategies including skill development and business development  working closely with the communities they live in. 

Under its Project Acting Against Sexual Exploitation, Trafficking of Humans and Atrocity in Nepal ( AASTHA and for the Vocational Training Center, OVN invites applications for the following position:

Social Worker

Only Female

Bhairahawa , Rupandehi
  • Bachelor degree with 1 year's minimum experience or Intermediate passed with 2 years' experience in field of social work with advocacy and training experience.
  • Minimum of two years direct experience of direct service provision with vulnerable and or exploited children youth, particularly those who have been victimized by trafficking, especially cross border trafficking. 
  • Lead to ffacilitate community interventions at different levels of the project, in collaboration with and under the supervision of the Project Officer in accordance to the project's objectives.
  • Lead to conduction of advocacy and awareness campaigns in coordination and collaboration with government and non-government actors in the project areas. 
  • Identify potential risks to women and children/youth, establish safeguards and conduct on-going risk assessments, both in the project areas and transit home, throughout the duration of the project.
Outreach Cum Business Support StaffPokhara Hemja
  • Minimum Intermediate level education.
  • At least 2 years of experience in business development.
  • Completion of at least 1 week of “Start and Improve Your Own Business” training or Business Management training.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with women and girls on skill development and livelihood initiatives.
  • Conduct field visits to identify participants for training programs.
  • Provide support in preparing business development plans for women and girls.
  • Visit each business outlet to offer on-the-spot mentoring and guidance.
  • Analyze gaps and challenges in businesses/livelihood activities and recommend solutions.
  • Offer continuous monitoring and support to vocational training officers.
  • Strengthen women’s and girls’ capacity in entrepreneurship and sustainable 

Psychosocial Counsellor -Part Time 

Only Female

Pokhara Hemja
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or Social Work, or a related field with minimum 6 months psychosocial counselling
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in psychosocial counselling, preferably with children and adolescents.
  • Specialized training in child protection, trauma counselling, or psychosocial support is highly desirable.
  • Provide individual and group counselling sessions to children residing in the Child Protection Home.
  • Assess the psychosocial needs of children and develop tailored support plans.
  • Offer crisis intervention and trauma-informed care when required.
  • Conduct awareness and life-skills sessions to strengthen resilience and coping mechanisms.
  • Work closely with social workers, caregivers, and vocational trainers to ensure holistic child development.
  • Maintain confidential case records and prepare regular reports for monitoring and evaluation.
