Background

Dalit JanKalyan Yuba Club (DJKYC) is a Non-Governmental and non-profitable organization, formed by Dalit youths which has been continuously implementing Dalit Empowerment campaigns after getting its legally registered in 2000. DJKYC, organizing Right-based campaign through group and networks meeting, discussion, workshop, interaction, training, opposition, rally for social justice along with public advocacy on Dalits’ collective issues e.g. Caste-based discrimination and untouchability, mainly issues of rights and related to Human Rights, poverty, women, children and adolescents. It has been promoting ever circulating result-oriented campaign for their empowerment and dignified life. Parallel to advocacy, awareness and campaign it has been facilitating and supporting the communities for their economic empowerment through income generating activities. DJKYC is implementing Sabal Balika Sabal Samudaya (SaBaSS) since April 2025 in partnership with Plan International Nepal at Aranama Rural Municipality, Siraha District. Connecting to this program, we would like to invite application from the interested Nepalese candidates who are eligible, accountable and have the ability to deliver results with the highest level of integrity for the following positions:

1. Role Profile

Position Title: Project Coordinator (PC)- 1

Person Assigned: To be selected

Project: Sabal Balika Sabal Samudaya (SaBaSS) and Sponsorship and Communication (SC) Project in Siraha District.

Expertise: Sound understanding and skills on project cycle management of multisectoral, multidisciplinary and complex nature of community development. Master Degree in Health/ Nutrition/ WASH, preference will be given to Public Health with three years’ experience or Bachelor's degree with 5 years working experience in relevant area.

Duty Station: Lahan, Siraha at office of DJKYC (May be changed later) with 90% field visit in program area

Contract type: Till March 2025 (Extendable)

Working Area: Project area of Siraha District

Responsible to: Directly to Chairperson/Executive Director of DJKYC, Siraha and Program Specialist for SaBaSS Project and Sponsorship Coordinator (SC) for Sponsorship and communication Project respectively of Plan International Nepal, Regional Office East (RoE), Janakpurdham, Dhanusha.

2. Role Profile

Position Title: Field Supervisor (FS)- 1

Person Assigned: To be selected

Project: Sabal Balika Sabal Samudaya (SaBaSS), Siraha District.

Expertise: Intermediate/+2 with min 3 years working experience in relevant area or technical education (HA, Staff Nurse, ANM and CMA) with 2 years relevant experience in the field of Nutrition, WASH, ECD, protection and Education. Preference will be given to working in integrated project of early childhood development, Nutrition, WASH, Protection and Education.

Duty Station: Arnama Rural Municipality, Siraha with 100% visit in Program areas

Contract type: Till March 2026 (Extendable

Working Area: Allocated two or more wards of above-mentioned Local Government. Priority will be given to local candidate of respective place.

Responsible to: Directly to Project Coordinator of SaBaSS (May change later)

Key Responsibilities of the Position

• Under the guidance of Project Coordinator (PC)/ Project Officer (PO), the incumbent will take full responsibilities of implementation and monitoring of field level project interventions.

3. Role Profile

Position Title: Civil Sub Engineer

Person Assigned: To be selected

Project: Sabal Balika Sabal Samudaya (SaBaSS) Project

Education & Experience:

A minimum of a 3 years Diploma in Civil Engineering completed (Sub-engineer qualification), and at least 3 years of work experience in construction and/or repair maintenance of school infrastructures specifically WASH like toilets, drinking water system, hand washing stations, waste management etc., are required. The candidate must possess skills in site feasibility study, estimation and technical evaluation, as well as experience in planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting.

Duty Station: DJKYC Office, Lahan with 90 % travel Project areas of Arnama Rural Municipality

Contract type: Till March 2026 with possibility of extension including 3 months’ probation period

Working Area: Arnama Rural Municipality of Siraha district

Responsible to:

• Direct Reporting: Directly to Project Coordinator, SaBaSS Project, DJKYC Lahan, Siraha.
• Dotted Reporting: Within DJKYC (ED, Admin and Finace) and Plan International Nepal (Program Specialist and Construction Specialist)
• Intensive and close supervision of construction quality in all sites of Arnama RM on daily basis
