International Nepal Fellowship (Nepal) is a non-Government Organization that was established in 1952 and serving poor and disadvantaged people of Nepal to enable life in its fullness through health and development service.  In Nepal, INF Nepal is now providing health and community development services in the provinces of Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim.

For the following position, INF Nepal Green Pastures Hospital Pokhara is seeking competent, skilled, service-oriented, and devoted Nepali citizen who share our vision, missions, and values.

1. Position: Operation Theatre In-Charge Nurse

Required Number: 1

Location: Green Pastures Hospital, Pokhara

Purpose of the Job:

The job holder needs to provide a clinical leadership and the management of the operating theater.

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge:

  • Must have Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Post Basic Bachelor of Nursing (PBBN) with registration with Nepal Nursing Council. 
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of post-qualification work experience in relevant nursing care.
  • Maintain the report of the unit from the on-duty staff nurse and read and sign the report book.
  • Demonstrate sensitivity and confidentiality.
  • Skills to use manual or automated hospital equipment.
  • Coordinate with other departments for patient care and smooth running of the unit.
  • Practical experience of using hospital software/ system.
  • Must have leadership skills to handle basic administrative and management work.
  • Good understanding of, and able to demonstrate the values of INF and dealing with others.

2. Position: ENT Care Practitioner

Required Number: 1

Location: Green Pastures Hospital, Pokhara

Purpose of the Job:

The job holder should provide triage of ENT and also audiometry, out-patients care, offer basic diagnostic ear services and arrange referral for audiology and other investigations and therapies prior to doctor review. Offer simple ear therapies, ear syringing, dressings, ear micro-suction. Support medical staff in OPD and teach patients basic ENT care.

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge:

  • Must have Proficiency Certificate Level in General Medicine (Health Assistant) with registration in Nepal Health Professional Council (NHPC). 
  • Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in health care. Advantage will be given to candidates with experience in ENT Clinics, ear conditions or hearing loss or in people with disabilities especially those with hearing difficulties.
  • Demonstrate good listening skills, communication skills, facilitation skills, therapy skills.
  • Empathetic and patient manner with clients.
  • Strong desire to serve people with disadvantage.
  • To keep all matters concerning patient information confidential.
  • Ability to work on own without close supervision.
  • Able to demonstrate compassion towards physically, mentally, socially or financially disadvantaged people.
  • Understanding of, and agreement with, the values which are important to INF.

3. Position: Occupational Therapy Assistant

Required Number: 1

Location: Green Pastures Hospital, Pokhara

Purpose of the Job:

The job holder should assess and treat patients according to their therapeutic needs, working with them and their families towards maximum possible recovery of personal independence and functional ability both whilst in the hospital and in their homes after discharge.

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge:

  • Must have Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM) or Community Medical Assistant (CMA) with registration in Nepal’s respective council with 1 year of work experience. Experience with disabled people and community work is an advantage.
  • Work experience with people with disabilities, preferably with some voluntary work or personal experience, is an advantage.
  • Primary rehabilitation training, short-term courses, or experience is an advantage. 
  • Basic computer skills (Word/Excel), people skills, communication skills, personal initiative and good time management skills.
  • Physical fitness (enough to help lift patient and to move them). 
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated, a willingness to learn is an advantage.
  • Able to keep all matters pertaining to work confidential.
  • To be honest and demonstrate integrity, No prejudice towards any people/group.
  • Good understanding of, and agreement with the values that are important to INF
