Mercy Corps Nepal invites applications, for the below mentioned positions, from interested candidates. Position is contingent on new funding and National candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
1. Chief of Party – Nepal DRR and Resilience Program
The CoP will provide overall leadership, management, and strategic vision to the Activity. They will manage staff, resources, and partnerships to ensure that the Activity meets its targets and deliverables on-time and within budget. The CoP will supervise Activity staff and ensure accountability to Mercy Corps’ policies and donor rules and regulations. They will be the primary representative to donors, relevant government entities, partners, other implementers, and external stakeholders for this Activity. They will actively promote an inclusive culture of learning and adaptive management and will ensure strong systems and processes drive program performance.

2. Emergency Preparedness & Response Manager (EPRM) – Nepal DRR and Resilience Program
The Emergency Preparedness and Response Manager (EPRM) will be responsible for providing leadership and vision for strategic decisions to leverage resources from other USG and non-USG programs in Nepal to enhance local-level preparedness and resilience to recurrent disasters. They will provide leadership in technical multi-sectoral analysis and response design, if disaster strikes during the life of this award. The EPRM represents humanitarian coordination groups and provides advisory support to Nepal’s National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority for coordinated and effective response in the targeted province(s). The EPRM will oversee the technical direction and implementation of activities related to community level disaster planning, risk reduction, response, and early recovery efforts, working closely with counterparts in the GoN and local organizations.

3. Monitoring & Evaluation Lead –Nepal DRR and Resilience Program
The M&E Lead is responsible for developing and implementing an M&E system and plan, including a database to store and aggregate collected data. The M&E Lead will provide technical expertise and leadership to generate and analyze quality evidence and data through monitoring, assessments, and evaluations. They will be responsible for the coordination and technical supervision for all M&E aspects of the Activity. The M&E Lead should demonstrate experience developing and operationalizing a comprehensive M&E Plan, including building or strengthening monitoring systems, conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis, designing survey methodology, and promoting evidence-based program management, ideally for USAID/BHA multi-year or resilience programs. The M&E Lead should demonstrate the ability to network and engage with necessary stakeholders. They will manage staff, resources, consultants (as needed) and coordinate closely with partners to fulfill the M&E requirements of the program as well as promote evidence-based decision-making, adaptive management, and a culture of learning.
