NEEDS Nepal is a non-government, not-for-profit, non-political, and social organization established in 1999 and registered at the District Administration Office (DAO) in Kanchanpur. It was affiliated with the Social Welfare Council (SWC) in 2000. It is a women-led organization with 55.55% women representatives, 22.22% Janjati representatives, and 22.22% Dalit representatives. NEEDS Nepal has four working themes identified through the organizational strategy plan 2024-2028: Social Rights & Justices, Climate & Disaster Resilient Action, Dignified Migration & Livelihood, and Organizational Development. The organization recognized women, children, and youths from marginalized and vulnerable HHs: dalit, janjati, freed-Kamaya, freed-Haliya, and other forms of bounded labor. NEEDS Nepal is going to implement an "Enhancing Internal and Cross-border Migrants Workers Access to Social Security and Social Protection-Access Project (Pahauch Project)" with the funding support of Peoples' Courage International (PCI) from May 1, 2024, to April 30, 2025 (possible to extend 4 years) in Godavari municipality and Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City Kailali. We are looking for potential Nepalese candidates for the following positions:

i) Project Coordinator-1 (100% based in Mahendranagar/Dhangadhi): S/he is responsible for overall project management, including planning, implementation, reporting, documentation, coordination, monitoring and evaluation, networking, team mobilization, and providing technical support to project staff. Applicants have additionale skills on designing and managing projects with human rights based approach (HRBA), effective networking and advocacy with stakeholders including private sectors. Applicants have excellent spoken and written skills in English with at least 5 years of intensive working experience in a project coordinator position in safe migration, anti-human trafficking, social security-related projects, the field of human rights, etc. The applicants have demonstrated very positive and learning skills with experience multi-stakeholders engagement. The applicant must have at least a master's degree in any discipline (priority will be given to development studies, social science and human rights). The applicant must be able to handle office packages (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email/internet, and digital means of virtual meetings). S/he needs to travel frequently to project working wards and communities. Priorities will be given to marginalized women applicants.

ii) Research Cum Knowledge Management Officer-1 (100% based in Mahendranagar/Dhangadhi): S/he is responsible for the development of TOR, the design of surveys and assessments, contributing to monitoring and documentation, developing a monitoring framework, forms and formats, sub-indicators, a monitoring plan, tracking indicators, digital data collection tools and techniques, data management and analysis, developing reports and documentation of learning, innovation, and knowledge management. The applicant must have excellent speaking and writing skills in English. The applicant must have at least a bachelor's degree in development studies, statistics, or social science with working experience in a required position for at least 3 years (but preference will be given to the master degree). Experience in research or studies will be an advantage. Applicant who can handle office packages (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email/internet, data analysis software). S/he needs to travel to project working wards and communities frequently.

iii) Social Mobilizers-4 persons (100% based in Godavari municipality and Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City): S/he is responsible for social mobilization, outreach to aspirant migrants and families, orienting migrants on a safer migration process, conducting pre-departure and post-departure orientation, orienting on social security and social protection, referring and linking social security and social protection services, maintaining database reports, coordinating and mobilizing community/rights-holders and community-level stakeholders, developing case/success stories, developing reports, and providing support to the project team. The applicant bachelor degree passed, excellent interpersonal communication skills, and understand and speak local dialects. They must also have 2 years of working experience in human rights, community mobilization, etc. The applicant who has the skill to handle office packages (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, and the internet) will be an asset.
