International Nepal Fellowship (Nepal) is a non-governmental organization established in 1952 and serves the poor and disadvantaged people of Nepal to enable life to its fullness through health and development services. INF Nepal is currently working in health and community development services in the Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim Provinces of Nepal.

For the following position, INF Nepal, Green Pastures Hospital and Rehabilitation Centre, Pokhara is seeking competent, skilled, service-oriented, and devoted Nepali citizens who share our vision, missions, and values.

About Palliative Care and Chronic Disease Services And SUNITA Project:

The Palliative Care and Chronic Disease (PCCD) service offers clinical and community-based palliative care services. SUNITA Project is a  a three-year, UK Aid-matched project between EMMS International and INF Nepal (started on April, 2022) will be developing a Palliative Care and Chronic Disease (PCCD)Centre of Excellence at Green Pastures Hospital through clinical services, research, and education/training. This project will support the National Strategy for Palliative Care, which was developed by palliative care experts in Nepal and was adopted by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP). Over the period of three years, it will design, implement, and test a rural healthcare intervention in palliative care in Lamjung, Rukum, Surkhet, Kapilvastu, and Banke.

1. Position: Community Education and Training Assistant

Required Number: 1

Location: Lamjung & Banke/ Kapilvastu

Purpose of the Job:

To assist the Community Education and Training Supervisor in developing and implementing palliative-related training and orientation programs as well as working alongside the counterpart of INF Nepal Community Project or other SUNITA Project partners.

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge:

  • Must have an Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM) or Community Medical Assistant (CMA) with registration in Nepal’s respective council with 1 year of clinical work experience. Experience in providing training is an advantage.
  • Work experience in a clinical, NGO, or INGO setting involving palliative care knowledge or experience is preferred.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, being considerate and respectful of others.
  • Demonstrated understanding of community health care.
  • Fluency in spoken and written Nepali. Fluency in the spoken local language of Kapilvastu and Banke.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft programs, email, and the Internet.
  • Basic competency in English.
  • Able and willing to travel.
  • The candidate will work for 12 months in Lamjung and 6 months in Banke or Kapilvastu as required.

2. Position: Community Education and Training Supervisor  

Required Number: 1

Location: Lamjung & Banke/ Kapilvastu

Purpose of the Job:

Collaboratively developing and delivering trainings and orientations to health workers, female community health volunteers, community groups, and schools, and ensuring the smooth running of SUNITA Project site activities.

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge:

  • Must have a Proficiency Certificate level in Nursing (PCL Nursing) or in General Medicine (Health Assistant) with registration in Nepal’s respective council with 1 year of clinical work experience. Experience as a trainer for a period of 1 year is an advantage.
  • Training in clinical training and palliative care is an advantage.
  • Work experience in a clinical, NGO, or INGO setting involving palliative care knowledge or experience is preferred.
  • Understanding of the principles of clinical education and demonstrated ability to deliver training.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, being considerate and respectful of others.
  • Demonstrated understanding of community health care.
  • Fluency in spoken and written Nepali. Fluency in the spoken local language of Kapilvastu and Banke.
  • Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft programs, email and the Internet.
  • Intermediate competency in English.
  • Able and willing to travel.
  • The candidate will work for 12 months in Lamjung and 6 months in Banke or Kapilvastu as required.
  • In agreement with the vision, mission, and values of INF.
