Job Vacancy (Various Positions)
We are commencing new projects and aim to fill the following positions by the end of November 2025.
Station: Kathmandu, with frequent travel to districts within Bagmati Province.
Duration: 1-year contract, renewable for 2 years based on satisfactory performance.
1. Position: Project Coordinator (Level: Mid)
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee project activities designed for adolescents and young women.
- Maintain and build relationships with local stakeholders and partner communities.
- Play a pivotal role in designing, expanding, and effectively managing programs aligned with organizational priorities.
- Ensure the ongoing relevance of Hamro Palo's education programs through regular review and updates.
- Foster the professional growth of local trainers by providing expertise on training methodologies and essential skills.
- Guide, mentor, and supervise subordinates and team members to achieve program goals.
- Evaluate, prepare, and present reports for internal stakeholders and external partners, highlighting program impact.
- Proactively revise and adapt programs to meet changing needs and ensure continued alignment with organizational objectives.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree completed in Social Work, Rural Development, Education, Development Studies, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in program and project management.
- Proven experience in leading a program or project team.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
Desired Skills and Competencies
- Ability to collaborate effectively with individuals at all organizational levels and foster positive working relationships.
- Proficiency in both Nepali and English, spoken and written.
- Strong communication skills—both written and verbal—for clear and effective conveyance of ideas and information.
- Ability to prepare comprehensive project reports, case studies, and success stories for stakeholders, highlighting key achievements and learnings.
- Skilled in delivering engaging presentations and proficient in essential IT tools.
- Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills to address challenges and ensure smooth collaboration.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to generate innovative ideas and strategies to enhance program effectiveness.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Excellent organizational, planning, reporting, and time management skills, with the ability to multitask in a dynamic work environment.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

2. Position: Project Assistant (Level: Junior/Learner)
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the program, monitoring, and evaluation team in effective program delivery and management.
- Support the maintenance and regular updating of Hamro Palo’s programs to ensure ongoing relevance.
- Supervise and provide guidance to local trainers and mentors.
- Assist in preparing activity-based reports and maintaining proper documentation.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with local stakeholders and development partners.
- Support advocacy and communication initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree completed in Social Work, Rural Development, Education, Development Studies, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Prior experience is not mandatory; however, internship or volunteer experience in social organizations will be an advantage.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Desired Skills and Competencies
- Proficiency in both English and Nepali, spoken and written.
- Good typing speed in both Nepali and English.
- Ability to deliver engaging presentations and proficiency in essential IT tools; knowledge of record-keeping is an asset.
- Strong organizational and planning skills to manage tasks, timelines, and resources efficiently.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
- Flexibility to understand and integrate gender, diversity, and inclusion perspectives into training and program implementation.
