INF International is an International non-government Organization, serving poor and disadvantaged people of Nepal to enable life in its fullness through health and community development services. INF provides health and community development services in the provinces of Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim.

INF International is seeking a competent, skilled, service-oriented and devoted volunteer to provide innovative approaches to improve the care and therapy of those with life-limiting illnesses, and who shares our vision, missions, and values.

Position: Palliative Care Doctor

Location: Pokhara

Salary & Benefits: Volunteer, no financial benefits will be provided

Contract period: 2-3 years

The post holder is responsible for strengthening the skills and competencies of INF’s medical professionals, with a particular focus on Palliative Care and Chronic Disease Management services at INF’s Green Pastures Hospital. In addition, the post holder will apply their technical expertise to enhance knowledge and practice across the hospital’s healthcare departments - including Medicine, Paediatrics, and Acute & Emergency Services - to ensure the delivery of smooth, efficient, and high-quality care. Special attention will be given to serving poor, socially excluded, marginalised, underprivileged, and disadvantaged people of Nepal.

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge:

• MD +5 years of experience.
• Good communication skills in both English and Nepali.
• Evidence of technical skills relating to the care of people with chronic and/or life-limiting illnesses, plus experience in general health service delivery.
• Experience in itinerant health service delivery and/or primary care in rural settings preferred.
• Good teamwork and experience in cross-cultural teams.
• Technical credibility and teaching ability.
• Technical and organisational problem solving ability.
• Ready to work on a volunteer basis. No, financial benefits.
