VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT FOR RESEARCH ASSOCIATE / ADMIN & FINANCE ASSISTANT/FIELD LIAISON OFFICER-DHANGADHI OFFICE 

National Institute for Development and Research (NIDR), Imadol -4, Golbhatta, Lalitpur is a national level research consultancy, working since 2012 in the field of research, survey, and evaluations. We are hiring following staffs:

RESEARCH ASSOCIATE -KATHMANDU OFFICE [FULL TIME-1]

  • Qualifications and Requirements
  • Education: Master’s degree in Public Health, Rural Development, Social Sciences, Economics, English, Education or related field 
  • Experience: 1–2 years of relevant experience in research, data analysis, or program evaluation, proposal and report writing.
  • Skills:
    • Strong monitoring and evaluation skills
    • Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills.
    • Proficiency in research software (e.g., Kobo Tool Box, STATA, SPSS, R, NVivo).
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
    • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
    • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
    • Good interpersonal skills and writing fluency in both Nepali and English is preferred.
    • A two-wheeler license, and their own vehicle and resident of near Imadol, Lalitpur area will be given priority.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct literature review and assist in developing research proposals, including defining research questions, methodologies, and data collection strategies.
  • Support the preparation of research/survey plans, timelines, and budgets in coordination with research program coordinator.
  • Conduct data collection through surveys, interviews, focus groups, or secondary data gathering.
  • Develop database of questionnaire in Kobo Toolbox
  • Perform data cleaning, coding, and preliminary analysis using software such as Excel, SPSS, STATA, or R.
  • Work with qualitative and quantitative data to produce meaningful insights.
  • Coordinate and communicate with field teams, project partners, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project operations.
  • Track project progress, maintain detailed documentation, and report regularly to 

Office Time: 10 AM to 5PM (Sunday to Friday)

Salary: NRs 25,000-30,000 (Other benefits are as per company rule.)

ADMIN & FINANCE ASSISTANT-KATHMANDU OFFICE [FEMALE -FULL TIME-1]

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of accounting experience, preferably in NGOs, research institutions, or consultancy organizations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Tally) and MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Knowledge of Nepali accounting standards, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Good interpersonal skills and fluency in both Nepali and English is preferred.
  • A two-wheeler license, and their own vehicle and resident of near Imadol,Lalitpur area will be given priority.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Government of Nepal accounting standards.
  • Ensure timely submission of tax filings, VAT, and other regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate with project staffs to ensure financial tracking aligns with project timelines and requirements.
  • Manage invoices, payments, and receipts, ensuring prompt processing and documentation.
  • Perform reconciliations for bank accounts, payroll, and other expense accounts.
  • Prepare documentation for internal and external audits, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure compliance with the organization’s financial policies and donor requirements.
  • Implement internal control procedures to safeguard organizational assets and enhance efficiency.

FIELD LIAISON OFFICER -DHANGADHI OFFICE -FULL TIME-1

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Rural Development, Economics, English, Education or related field 
  • Experience: 1–2 years of relevant experience in research, proposal and report writing and organizational development.
  • Skills:
    • Ability to build trust and rapport with people from diverse backgrounds 
    • Strong quantitative and qualitative data collection skills
    • Ability to work effectively in a challenging field environment with limited resources.
    • Proficiency in research software (e.g., Kobo Tool Box, and SPSS).
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
    • Ability to writing fluency in both Nepali and English language.
    • A two-wheeler license, and their own vehicle and resident of Dhangadhi, Kailali will be given priority.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for provincial governments, local government bodies, Dhangadhi based UN agencies, I/INGOs, community-based organizations (CBOs), and beneficiary communities.
  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders to ensure their active participation and support for project activities.
  • Represent the organization in local meetings, workshops, and coordination forums.
  • Facilitate meetings and dialogues between Provincial governments, local governments, and the local organizations.
  • Support to develop proposal and report writing 
  • Track project progress, maintain detailed documentation, and report regularly to
