Multi-dimensional Action for Development (MADE Nepal) is working with marginalized people to improve their socio-economic condition through intervention of community based integrated program special focusing on resilience livelihood of vulnerable communities. An anticipated aquaculture project is designed to address food security through improvements in the aquaculture value chain by (1) incorporating climate smart technologies, (2) improving end market linkages and incomes for farmers, (3) increasing access to finance for farmers to expand trade of agricultural products, and (4) strengthening the public and private sector. 

MADE NEPAL invites applications for the following positions mentioned below from suitable candidates to work in the Aquaculture Project

1. Position: Productivity and Climate Smart Aquaculture (CSAq) Lead- 1

The Productivity and Climate Smart Aquaculture (CSAq) Lead will be Develop improving productivity in aquaculture operations, incorporating climate-smart practices. 

The Productivity and CSAq will provide technical leadership in development and implementation of strategies, interventions, and activities that address productivity and climate-smart aquaculture. He/she will provide high- quality TA through hands-on guidance and support grounded in the program’s objectives and targets and adhering to expected technical quality. He/she will have at least 15 years of relevant experience. This individual will deliver high-quality technical assistance (TA) by offering hands-on guidance and support aligned with the program's objectives and targets while upholding expected technical standards.

2. Position: Training Manager- 1

Training Manager will serve as the training focal for the project. The training manager conducts the training needs assessment, develops training curriculum, develops training methodologies and prepares a training plan and provides training to the staff and fishery stakeholders based on the needs. S/he will lead the training manual preparation and conduct Training of Trainers as required.

3. Position: Aquaculture Specialist- 5

Aquaculture Specialists would collaborate with government agencies, private sector company, fish feed and industries. The Aquaculture Specialist support in production and capacity building of commercial industry, technicians at private and public fish farms, hatcheries rear, process, and support fish marketing process. They work closely with aquaculture market including fish farmers, seed and feed producers, processors, dealers and sub-dealers. Aquaculture Specialists can also assist commercial aquaculture companies with business plans and economic forecasts. They also prepare annual plan and calendar and shares with the project team. Coordinates with government offices, fish farms, hatcheries, breeding centers for information gathering, dissemination of knowledge and skills and learning.

4. Position: Post Harvest Handling and Marketing Specialist- 1

The Post Harvest Handling (PHH) and Marketing specialist will serve as a marketing specialist focal for the project. The PHH and marketing specialist Identifies value chains with the potential to reduce post-harvest losses, increase access to markets, and expand value-addition activities with increased energy and productive investments. Ensure compliance with hygiene and food safety regulations throughout the processing chain. Collaborate with marketing teams to create marketing materials, including product brochures, websites, and social media campaigns. Analyze market trends and consumer preferences to identify opportunities for product development and market expansion.
