Employment status: Full-time
Reports to: Head of Education Program/Education Managers
Direct reports: Education Project Managers for Humla and Ghyangfedi
OVERALL JOB GOAL
The Training Specialist will lead training programs for schools in child-centered pedagogy, inclusive education, classroom management, subject-based Teaching and Learning, Teaching and Learning Materials Development, Parental education and School Leadership and Governance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Training Design & Curriculum Development
- Conduct training needs assessment (TNA).
- Design and contextualize training curricula and modules for Integrated Curriculum-grade 1-3, Basic Level Grade 4-10, English Subject from Grade 4-10 and so on.
- Develop training materials and facilitator guides.
- Align training with Nepal’s CEHRD guidelines, Education Training Center, and curriculum frameworks.
Training Delivery & Facilitation
- Facilitate teacher training and workshops with pre-test and posttest.
- Organize training events and refresher courses.
- Perform model teaching sessions and demonstrations.
- Provide capacity building to teachers, school leaders, education personnels.
In School Support/Follow Up
- Visit the target schools regularly
- Observe Classes and support teachers to implement the training skills
- Support to develop the Teaching and Learning Materials (TLM) at School
- Conduct School Based Workshops for teachers, parents, SMC/PTA, students
- Activate and Empower the Local Resource Teachers (LRTs)
- Activate digital learnings, library classes and remedial teaching/learnings
Monitoring, Evaluation & Quality Assurance
- Develop monitoring tools and assessment rubrics.
- Document training progress and outcomes.
- Track improvements in teacher performance and student learning.
- Contribute to evidence generation and learning.
Coordination & Partnership
- Coordinate with local education units, schools, and like-minded agencies.
- Support planning, budgeting, and reporting.
- Represent Adara in forums and clusters.
- Strengthen collaboration between schools and communities.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Prepare reports, documentation, and success stories.
- Manage training data and materials.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Master’s in English Education or related field.
- 5–7 years in school education programs.
- Proven experience in teacher training and coaching.

- Understanding of Nepal’s education system and school curriculum.
- Strong facilitation and curriculum development skills.
- Classroom observation and feedback skills.
- ICT skills and strong reporting abilities.
- Excellent communication, leadership, teamwork.
- Commitment to inclusion, gender equality, and safeguarding.
