The Trail-based Tourism Development Project (TTDP) is a joint initiative of the Governments of Switzerland and Nepal. The goal of the project is for people in Koshi Province to increase their income and contribute to the conservation of culture with innovative and sustainable tourism offers. It focuses on four main trail routes namely Mundum, Chiyabari, Phalgunanda and Laligurans trails spanning 29 municipalities in Koshi Province.
On Behalf of Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), Helvetas Nepal provides technical assistance to the project. Helvetas Nepal invites applications from competent and committed Nepali Citizens for the following position:
1. Trail Coordinator - 1
Duration: Until the project period
Job purpose: Responsible to overall management for the effective execution of the local level’s project activities; Ensure quality of the social mobilization process and participatory approach for feasibility assessments, design, and implementation of engineering works at the local levels.
Required Education, Experience and Social Competence:
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with 5 years of experience in planning and design of local infrastructures. Trail Coordinator should be familiar with the use of GPS survey methodologies, proficient in the use of GIS and AutoCAD software. Commitment towards gender equality, social inclusion, and poverty reduction is a must.
2. Technical Officer- Few (based on the project needs - Roster)
Duration: based on project needs
Job purpose: Responsible to carryout survey, design verification and implementation at local level under the guidance and supervision of the Trail Coordinator; Collection of the socio-economic data of the community in close coordination with social safeguard officer; Undertake the detailed design for the construction and/or rehabilitation of the selected infrastructure in consultation with the beneficiaries.
Required Education, Experience and Social Competence:
Diploma in civil engineering or TSLC from CTEVT for an assistant sub engineer with a minimum 3 years of experience in planning and design small local infrastructures. Familiar with the use of GPS survey methodologies, use of GIS and AutoCAD software. Commitment towards gender equality, social inclusion, and poverty reduction is a must.
