VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Mahuli Community Development Center (MCDC) is a non-governmental organization working in Saptari district since 1994. It works for various social developmental activities coordinating with developing partners and government organization. Currently, MCDC is implementing the Welthungerhilfe (WHH) supported project titled "Up-scaling WASH systems strengthening approach in the Terai region of Nepal"(NPL1082-22). Here, we invite applications from interested and qualified Nepali citizens for the following position. Position is located in Saptari district and will be based on Project site.

1.     Technical Supervisor -1 position

The position holder is responsible to lead and assure the quality of technical aspects of community-based drinking water supply systems, WASH in schools and public institutions. S/He is responsible for technical feasibility study, support in design/drawing, endorsement, and quality monitoring, including ensuring the functionality of the systems. Coordinates closely with government’s technical department to ensure project work is in line with their guidelines and compliance as well. S/he will facilitate to the project field staff to execute the quality technical work with effective and efficient way. S/He will manage her/his 80% time for field level planning, feasibility study, implementation, quality control and local level coordination, coherence and supervision whereas 20% for documentation, reporting and supportive activities to the project team. 

Qualification and Experiences:

• Diploma in Civil Engineering with at least 5 years experienced in I/NGOs sector with same job responsibilities. 
• Experience in working in WASH sector with sound knowledge in survey, able to understand Engineering design, drawings implementations and estimate.
• Having good idea of Auto CAD, Microsoft Office package.
• Good knowledge in documentation, report writing and presentation.
• Knowledge of sanitation movement of Nepal with different type of institutional WASH facilities in Terai context.
• Energetic and having passion for all kinds of Water schemes and sanitation. 
• Interested in working at field level and willing to travel every ward of MCDC working palikas
• Enthusiastic, Tactful and holds excellent interpersonal skills.
• Result oriented personality/maintaining deadlines.
• Having valid two-wheeler driving license and able to ride a motorcycle in rural environment.
