Social Awareness Centre (SAC) Nepal is an NGO dedicated to upholding the rights of marginalized and excluded communities through its interventions on Health, Education, Livelihood, Protection and Climate Change, Disaster Management and Humanitarian Support including Organizational Development and GEDSI. It works with a vision for capable and prosperous society for quality life of women, children and adolescents. SAC Nepal is implementing the different projects partnership with different partners. The projects covered all 10 districts of Karnali Province.  

SAC Nepal is implementing the My Forest Child three years project in Barahtal Rural Municipality, Surkhet district in partnership with Save the Children and funded by Save the Children Korea and coordination with local and provincial governments as well as other stakeholders. For this project following position is vacant. So, this position will be recruited. SAC Nepal invites applications from interested qualified and professional Nepali candidates for the following full-time positions.

Position: Social Mobilization Officer (SMO)   

Required No.: 1 (One) 

Duty Station: Project location Barahtal RM, Surkhet (with frequent field visit in project area) 

Required qualification, experience, skill and knowledge

• Diploma in Forestry with 1 year experience and or TSLC in Forestry with +2 and at least 3 years working experience in similar themes and field. 
• Provide and facilitate technically to community forest user group, school and other project beneficiaries. 
• Good Interpersonal and Communication skills.
• Proficient in documentation, case study, and report writing. 
• Willingness and dedication to work in remote areas.  
• Priorities to two-wheeler (Motorcycle) valid license holder and drive motorcycle safely.  

Purpose of Job

The objective of this position is overall implementing of project activities, coordination and collaboration with stakeholders. Support to prepare report, case stories, documentation and other required task to PC, MEAL Officer and AFSCC of this project. (Please go through the link below for JD)
