About ZERO Circular
ZERO Circular is a regenerative materials startup rooted in Nepal, building local circular economies by replacing fossil-based plastic with biodegradable, home-compostable bioplastics made from nature’s components. With our new in-house production facility, we’re now equipped to scale — and we’re looking for a driven, creative, and strategic mind to lead our sales and business growth efforts.
Role Overview
As the Sales & Business Growth Specialist, you will be leading our market expansion and revenue growth. From building strong client pipelines to shaping strategic sales plans, you will be instrumental in making ZERO Circular the go-to brand for biodegradable packaging in Nepal and beyond. You’ll also work closely with the leadership team to shape strategy, pricing, customer acquisition and retention tactics.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Strategy & Execution
- Develop and implement a high-impact sales strategy aligned with production capacity and company goals.
- Identify and prioritize high-potential market segments (e.g., garment exporters, bakeries, restaurants, hotels, sustainable businesses).
- Lead sales team (or build one from scratch) to meet and exceed monthly/quarterly targets.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through B2B outreach, strategic partnerships, referrals, and lead generation campaigns.
- Lead contract negotiation and closing processes with potential clients.
2. Business Development & Market Expansion
- Explore and evaluate new market opportunities — regional, national, and export-based.
- Cultivate partnerships with key players in the sustainability, packaging, and manufacturing ecosystems.
- Attend/represent ZERO in relevant trade shows, expos, and industry events.
3. Customer Relationship Management
- Build strong relationships with key clients to increase customer satisfaction, loyalty, and repeat business.
- Design and implement systems for customer retention and feedback loops to continuously improve offerings.
- Develop tailored solutions and product offerings based on customer needs.
- Revenue & Growth Optimization
- Co-develop pricing models and incentives based on production capacity, market demand, and financial goals.
- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales performance and customer engagement.
- Contribute to forecasting, budgeting, and long-term business planning.
Required Skills & Experience
- 2+ years of experience in sales, business development, or growth strategy (experience in sustainable materials, packaging, or FMCG sectors preferred).
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
- Strong strategic thinking with hands-on execution ability.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment.
- Familiarity with CRM tools and sales analytics platforms.
Nice to Have
- Passion for sustainability, regenerative systems, and circular economy.
- Experience building or leading sales teams.
- Knowledge of the Nepali market and regional export opportunities.
