Human Rights and Environment Development Centre (HuRENDEC) Nepal, Kalikot has been established in Kalikot and working in Karnali region for more than 2 decade.The organization has been working on need based action orientated multi-disciplinary areas through social mobilization especially focusing on human rights, livelihood, micro enterprise, infrastructure, climate change, cash for work, lobby/advocacy, empowerment, disaster management, natural resource management and eco friendly infrastructure. 

HuRENDEC Kalikot has been implementing “Adapting to Climate Induced Threats to Food Production and Food Security in the Karnali region of Nepal” program in 2 rural municipalities of Kalikot district of Nepal. This project has focused to minimize climate change effect, livelihood support, nutrition support and enhance capacity building of local people and support for proper policies to the local government. To support for the program, HuRENDEC Kalikot invites application from deserving Nepalese candidates for the following position. 

Position : Resource person (trainer)- Short terms

Training Location : CAFS working area  (Palata and Pachaljharana of Kalikot )

Report to : Program coordinator 

Remuneration and Benefits : As per the organization's norm commensurate with the project agreement

Minimum Qualification and Experience

Master degree in agronomy with at least 3 years’ experiences or bachelors degree in agronomy with at least 5 years’ experience in drought resistant agriculture training. 

Major Responsibility

  • Conduct training upon Drought Resistant Agriculture Training for local government staff and NGOs staff 
  • Provide knowledge about Climate change & Work experience in Drought resistance crops.
  • Provide knowledge about water smart technology.
  • Share work experience in Resource Conservation Technology, cropping system and seed production.
  • Share work experience in varietal release and registration of crops.
  • Share work experience in technology transfer and seed labeling and work experience in cultivation practices and production of crop through machinery use.
  • Develop training curricula
  • Interact and discuss with participants upon traditional agricultural practices
  • Produce training report
