We are seeking passionate and experienced individuals to support conducting a baseline assessment of service readiness and Hyperglycemia in Pregnancy prevalence, including a comprehensive mapping of private healthcare services.

Position 1: Research Consultant (1 Position)  

Location: Kathmandu with field visits (as required)

Duration: Approximately 4 months (by February 2026)

Position Overview

The Research Consultant will lead and provide technical support for the baseline assessment and HIP prevalence study, including mapping private healthcare services, conducting qualitative and quantitative research, ensuring data quality and ethical compliance, coordinating with stakeholders, and delivering timely reports.

Qualifications

We are seeking a candidate with the following qualifications and experience:

  • Master’s degree in public health, Epidemiology, Social Sciences, Biostatistics, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in conducting research and analyzing both qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Proficient in statistical software (SPSS, STATA, R), qualitative tools (NVivo, Atlas.ti), and digital data collection.
  • Experienced in managing teams, field operations, and logistics.
  • Skilled in synthesizing research findings into high-quality reports and presentations.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Willingness to travel frequently; familiar with health facility assessment tools

Position 2: Research Associate - Consultants (8 Positions)

Location: One of the study districts or hospitals with field visits frequently 

Duration: Approximately 4 months (by February 2026)

Position Overview

The Research Associate- Consultant will support the baseline assessment of HIP prevalence, including mapping private healthcare services, by managing field-level data collection and assisting with transcription, preliminary analysis, and reporting, under the guidance of the Research Coordinator 

Qualifications

  • We are seeking a candidate with the following qualifications and experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in public health, Social Sciences, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience in research, monitoring, or evaluation.
  • Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative data collection methods.
  • Experience in health research and familiarity with health facilities. 
  • Understanding of ethical research principles and informed consent procedures.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and data collection tools (e.g., ODK, Kobo) preferred.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in field settings
