Selection of Insurance Service Provider for Group Medical, Personal Accident, and Term Life Insurance and Assets Insurance for 3 years period effective from January 2027 to December 2029 with annual renewal contract upon satisfactory performance.

1. Background and Objective

Room to Read Nepal intends to select a qualified insurance company to provide Group Medical, Personal Accidental, and Term life Insurance coverage for its employees and assets insurance for 2027. The objective is to ensure adequate employee protection, access to quality healthcare, financial security, and efficient insurance services at a competitive rate.

2. Scope of Services

a. Group Medical Insurance for 40 plus staff: Coverage for eligible medical expenses, hospitalization, domiciliary and other agreed medical benefits.

b. Group Personal Accident Insurance for 40 plus staff: Coverage for accidental death, permanent/ temporary disability, and others agreed accident-related benefits

c. Group Term Life Insurance for 40 plus staff: Life insurance coverage for Room to Read employees, providing a lumpsum death benefit to the nominated beneficiary in the event of employee’s death during the policy coverage period, subject to the policy terms and conditions and 

d. Assets Insurance coverages of Laptop Computers, Tablets, Furniture, A/C and Motorbikes.

The insurance company shall also provide employee enrollment support, policy documents, claims assistance, a dedicated point of contact, and timely communication regarding claims and policy-related matters.

3. Required document along with the quotation.

a. Cover letter application in the Company letterhead.

b. A copy of company registration.

c. A copy of Vat registration certificate

d. List of client and Recommendations letter

e. Company profile with major client list of past 3 years periods only (Preferred to NGO/INGOs only)

f. Recommendation letter if any (Preferred to NGO/INGOs only) 

g. A copy of Tax clearance certificate of 2 years period 2081/082 and 2082/083 or tax extension letter of FY 2082/083 only.
