Background:

NEEDS Nepal, a Kanchanpur-based NGO established in 1999, has been actively involved in enhancing community resilience to natural disasters, specifically in the districts of Kanchanpur and Dadeldhura. As part of the “Strengthening Community Preparedness, Rapid Response and Recovery in Nepal” project, in partnership with Oxfam, the project aims to improve disaster mitigation and preparedness in communities by strengthening Early Warning Systems (EWS), integrating local response mechanisms, and enhancing government and community disaster management capacities.

The Chaudhar River, located in Kanchanpur District of Sudurpashchim Province, Nepal, poses significant flood risks to downstream communities, particularly during the monsoon season. The absence of scientifically established flood threshold levels (warning and danger levels) limits the effectiveness of early warning systems, resulting in delayed responses and heightened vulnerability of local populations.

NEEDS Nepal is looking for eligible service provider for the consultancy services:

Please also include all legal documents of a consulting firm registration, company registration, latest tax clearance and Organizational Profile) by 10 June 2025.
