Background:

Street Child is an international charity based in the United Kingdom that aims to create avenues for out-of-school children to access education through an integrated approach that strengthens the capacity of teachers, schools and communities to sustain their investment in the education for their children.

Street Child is seeking qualified individual consultants to conduct an external review workshop, which includes both virtual and in-person sessions for the following program. Education Out Loud is the Global Partnership for Education’s fund for advocacy and social accountability. This provides support to civil society to be active and influential in shaping education policy to better meet the needs of communities, especially of vulnerable and marginalized populations. Education Out Loud aims to enhance civil society capacities to engage in education sector planning, policy dialogue and monitoring and to promote transparency and accountability of national education sector policy. It also seeks to create a stronger global and regional enabling environment for civil society advocacy and transparency efforts in education.

Street Child is leading the cross-country program funded through the Global Partnership for Education, Education Out Loud window; “South Asian Assessment Alliance: Communicating and Collaborating for Change” that convenes a network of national organizations, creating capacity for assessment, advocacy, action, and accountability with its alliance members Keenly Humanitarian Association for New Afghanistan [Afghanistan], WAVE Foundation [Bangladesh], Ashoka Association [Myanmar] and ASER Nepal-hosted by Galli Galli [Nepal], with a goal to improve assessment practices and policies in education, in the South Asian region.

The project aims to create a South Asian Assessment Alliance (SAAA) [across Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Myanmar, and Nepal] to increase access, analysis, and active use of assessment, and create avenues for strong, sustained advocacy that connects assessment to systemic accountability and action. The Alliance strengthens the capacities of local communities and civil society organizations to (i) conduct citizen-led assessments; (ii) communicate and influence change using evidence-informed, equity-focused strategies; and (iii) create an inclusive, participative, and representative accountability apparatus that tracks progress towards transnational targets in education.

Proposal Submission:

Interested and eligible candidates are requested to submit application via email at streetchildofnepal@outlook.com with the requested documents no later than 15 June 2023 with the email subject clearly mentioning, “Proposal for Review Workshop”

Updated CV highlighting the relevant competency and experience as deemed by this TOR. The CV shall include education/qualification, professional certification, employment/assignment record and contact information of minimum three relevant referees, A brief technical proposal including understanding of TOR and proposed methodology to accomplish the deliverable and tentative workplan with timelines.

Detailed financial proposal for the assignment.

Recent tax clearance certificate if the consultant is registered in VAT/PAN

Copy of PAN and citizenship certificate
