SNV Netherlands Development Organisation is a non-profit international development organisation with headquarter in the Netherlands and programs in over 25 countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America. SNV contributes through strengthening the capacity of local organizations within three main sectors: Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH); Agriculture; and Renewable Energy.
SNV Nepal is implementing Water for Women: Beyond the Finish Line – Inclusive and Sustainable Rural Water Supply Service project in Dailekh and Sarlahi districts. in Sarlahi, the project is being implemented in four Rural Municipalities (Chandranagar, Kaudena, Parsa and Ramnagar) through SNV’s Area-wide Rural Water Supply Service Approach.
Currently SNV Nepal is planning to conduct a quantitative questionnaire survey called Rural Water Supply (handpump/tube well) Functionality and Quality Survey in Sarlahi district. The survey also includes E. coli testing using Hygiena Micro-Snap test and Arsenic testing from HIMEDIA, for water quality test, SNV Nepal will provide the testing equipment with necessary consumables
Therefore, SNV Nepal is requesting for proposal (RfP) from service providers to carry out this survey. The survey is anticipated to start from Mid of February and to be completed by 21 March 2021.
Interested research organisations, consulting firms and applicants are requested to review the ToR and submit an organisational (capacity statement) and financial proposal through email address nepal@snv.org with subject title ‘Rural Water Supply functionality and Water Quality Survey in Sarlahi-2021”.
