Request for Expression of Interest (EOI) for Physiotherapy Support

DEC Nepal has been implementing Empowering a New Generation of Adolescent Girls with Education (ENGAGE) Project in Khajura, Baijanath and KohalpurMunicipalities of Banke district for the inclusive education and empowerment of girls with disabilities, marginalized girls and boys with disabilities. ENGAGE has been funded by FCDO and led by VSO (Volunteer Service Overseas, Nepal). Handicap International (HI) has been leading the project in Banke and providing technical assistance.  

DEC Nepal has planned to hire physiotherapist as aconsultant"to support families of girls and boys with disabilities through training on the use of assistive devices and home modification" in accordance with project plan, approaches leading towards achieving the objectives and result outcome. The key beneficiaries of the project are adolescent girls and boys with disability of Kohalpur Municipality, Baijanath Rural Municipality and Khajura Rural Municipality.   

DEC Nepal is looking physiotherapist (Technical person) for 60 days from 15th March to 31st July, 2021. Interested and experienced individual from same field are requested to submit application along with the following documents  hardcopy or through email to the address and deadline mentioned below:

The physiotherapist (consultant) is expected to carry out following activities:

• Study and review the action plan made by the parents/caregivers of Primary Actors (PAs)with disabilities during the Parent Support Skill Training and orientation to parents/care givers.
• Provide technical support for home modification.
• Train Community Mobilizers (CMs) on primary rehabilitation services.
• Visit the households of girls and boys with disabilitywith the help of community mobilizers and assess the situation and provide the needful support i.e. physiotherapy, suggestions and guidance to parents and care givers. 
• Assess physiotherapy materials based on the needs of girls and boys with disabilities. 
• Develop and update the individual report of girls and boys with disabilities and submit to DEC Nepal, in every 15 days.

Interested Consultancy firms and professional personnel are required to submit the following: 

• Letter of interest 
• Personal CVs of professional personnel proposed for this project
• A brief concept note highlighting the methodological design including work plan and quality assurance mechanisms. 
• Financial proposal indicating consultancy fee and a breakdown of expenses. 
• Copy of company registration certificate (not required for independent persons/ freelancers)
• Copy of PAN/VAT registration certificate
• Certificates
