Quality Analyst

Job Description:

1.     Work collaboratively with the project team to define testing strategy and test cases for the ERP system.

2.     Lead and execute the testing process for ERP modules, including functional, integration, and regression testing.

3.     Analyse the test requirements, define test coverage and design holistic test plan as necessary.

4.     Mentor and guide junior testers in test case creation, execution, and reporting.

5.     Develop test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional requirements and technical specifications.

6.     Execute manual and automated tests to validate the ERP system meets business requirements and system specifications.

7.     Identify and document defects or issues, classify them, perform root cause analysis, and track issues to resolution.

8.     Create test reports, communicate test results and provide recommendations on product quality.

9.     Collaborate with development team, business analysis team and project managers to identify and resolve issues and ensure deliverables meet quality targets.

10. Participate in project meetings and provide input on functional requirements, technical specifications, and design.

11. Create, update and keep the quality control checklist updated based on test performance feedbacks.

12. Define, monitor and track the quality control metrics performance and recommend plan of actions to project management team.

13. Staying up to date with the latest testing tools, techniques, and methodologies, and continuously improving the quality control process.

14. Design plans and execute periodic quality audits, reviews and recommend control measures for findings.

15. Provide inputs and facilitate project management team on test performance monitoring.

Requirement:

1.     A minimum of 3-4 years of experience in software testing including at least one year on test planning.

2.     Bachelor's degree in any IT related discipline.

3.     Knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and techniques, including manual and automated testing.

4.     Experience testing ERP software modules, including but not limited to finance, purchasing, inventory, and human resources.

5.     Familiarity with testing software such as JIRA, Selenium, or HP Quality Center.

6.     Strong analytical and diagnostic problem-solving skills with an ability to assess complex problems.

7.     Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and guide team members.

8.     Any software testing certifications like ISTQB shall be added advantage.

9.     Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Fluent English is a plus because the interview will be done in English.

10. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
