Vacancy Announcement for IT Associate

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain IT systems, including hardware, software, and networks.
• Provide technical support to staff, troubleshooting issues and resolving IT-related challenges promptly.
• Implement and enforce IT security protocols to safeguard sensitive data and ensure compliance with best practices. Collaborate with project teams to assess IT needs and recommend solutions to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends to inform strategic IT planning and decision-making.
• Assist in the procurement and deployment of IT equipment and software licenses.
• Manage the organization’s MS Office 365 admin center
• Manage the organization’s website
• Support the organization’s communications team in preparing newsletters, promotional material, social media posts.

Qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor's/Diploma or final year undergraduate in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in IT support, systems administration, or a similar role.
• Advanced knowledge of MS office 365 admin center; ability to use graphics designing tools like Adobe Photoshop and Canva, among others; proficiency in website development tools (HTML, CSS, JAVASCRIPT, PHP).
• Strong knowledge of IT security principles and practices.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
• Familiarity with research environments or academic institutions is a plus.
