We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Purchase In charge to join our supermarket team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inventory management, supplier negotiations, and procurement, with a focus on maintaining efficient stock levels and ensuring high-quality products for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the procurement process for all supermarket products.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
• Monitor inventory levels, track stock movement, and place orders to replenish stock as needed.
• Analyze market trends and recommend purchasing strategies to maximize savings and ensure product availability.
• Ensure that all purchases meet quality standards and comply with company policies.
• Manage purchase orders, delivery schedules, and resolve any discrepancies with vendors.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records of purchases, stock levels, and suppliers.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and marketing, to align purchasing with demand forecasts.
• Handle negotiations for pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to maximize profitability.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in the retail or supermarket industry.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management and procurement best practices.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and inventory management software.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

2. Job Title: Senior Account Officer

Department: Finance & Accounts

Reports To: Chief Financial Officer

Location: Anamnagar, Kathmandu

Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary:

The Senior Account Officer will oversee all financial and accounting operations of the retail company, including budgeting, reporting, compliance, and internal controls. This role is key to ensuring financial discipline, supporting strategic planning, and maintaining accurate financial records across all branches/outlets.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Management

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliation, and inventory accounting.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage cash flow and forecasting.
• Supervise preparation and review of budgets and financial planning.

2. Compliance & Audit

• Ensure compliance with local laws, tax regulations, and accounting standards.
• Coordinate and support internal and external audits.
• File timely VAT, TDS, income tax, and other statutory returns.

3. Team Leadership

• Lead and mentor the accounts team across outlets and head office.
• Assign responsibilities, monitor performance, and ensure timely deliverables.
• Conduct regular training and capacity-building of the finance team.

4. Retail-Specific Accounting

• Monitor and reconcile POS sales data from multiple outlets.
• Ensure proper inventory control and reporting.Track branch-wise profitability and provide performance insights.

5. Reporting & Analysis

• Provide financial reports to management for strategic decisions.
• Analyze financial data and offer cost control recommendations.
• Track KPIs and prepare dashboards for management review.

6. System & Process Management

• Implement and improve accounting systems, ERP, or retail software.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s or CA/ACCA preferred).
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a senior or leadership role, preferably in the retail sector.
• Strong understanding of tax laws, retail accounting, and financial reporting.
• Experience with accounting software (Tally or OMS systems).
