Public Notice: Hiring a consultant to Conduct Climate and Nutrition Vulnerability Assessment and Food insecurity assessments at the municipal level. 

Attention: All Interested consultancy firms. 

Together with PeaceWin and Samabikas Nepal, Working for Access and Creation (WAC) Nepal, in partnership with Welthungerhilfe (WHH), is implementing the “Women in Climate Resilient Agri-Systems for Enhanced Nutrition Security (WE-CAN)” project in Sanfebagar Municipality and Chaurpati Rural Municipality, Achham District, Sudurpashchim Province. This project aims to improve the nutrition and livelihood of rural communities especially women, smallholder farmers, and marginalized groups through sustainable agriculture practices that are resilient to climate change. 

We invite proposals for in this context, the WAC Nepal is seeking the services of a qualified consultant to lead two key assessments: (1) Conduct Rapid Assessment in Climate and Nutritional Vulnerability and (2) Conduct Food Insecurity Assessment at the municipal level.  Climate and Nutrition Vulnerability Assessments and Food Insecurity Assessments at the municipal level. The assessment will help to identify risks, challenges, and adaptation strategies related to agriculture, nutrition, and climate impacts at the community level.  

Eligibility criteria of consultants:

• Must have prior experience in conducting climate vulnerability and nutrition assessments.
• Must have prior experience in conducting food insecurity assessments.
• Demonstrated expertise in participatory research methods, including PRA techniques.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in both qualitative and quantitative data analysis.
• Ability to communicate findings effectively with diverse stakeholders, including government and community members.
• Proficiency in report writing, documentation, and presentation skills.
• Master’s degree in agriculture, Environmental Science, Nutrition, or related fields.
• At least 5 years of experience in climate change, food security, and community assessments.
• Strong skills in report writing and stakeholder engagement.
• Knowledge of local context and fluency in local languages (e.g., Achhami) is plus.

Key Requirements of consultancy firm or individual

• Letter of interest 
• Technical proposal, which includes objectives and methods with a detailed timeline.
• Personal CVs of professional personnel proposed for this project
• Financial proposal indicating consultancy fee (personal expense will not be provided separately, it should be included in consultancy fee)
• The technical and financial proposals 
• Copy of company registration certificate 
• Copy of PAN/VAT registration certificate
• Copy of Tax clearance latest registration certificate
• Duly filled up and Signed Supplier Declaration form
• Sample of previous document or publication of a similar nature

Submission Deadline:

Please submit your proposals by 11 May 2025 by 5:00 PM Nepal time via e-tender platform.

Submission Process:

1. Interested candidates/firms/Companies should register the company in the EU tender portal via this link: Supplier registration by 8 May 2025.(The companies who are already registered in the above portal can directly send the expression of interest (procurement@wac.org.np) to information.
2. Once the registration is completed, send the information details /expression of interest of the supplier to procurement@wac.org.np.
3. You will receive a tender invitation from the e-tender portal and then can submit all details mentioned as per the ToR via the same portal no later than 11 May 2025, 5:00 PM Nepal time.
