Community Development & Advocacy Forum Nepal (CDAFN) Bardibas, Mahottari is a NGO dedicated to uphold the rights of marginalized and excluded communities through its interventions on Education ,Health, Education, Livelihood, Protection and Climate Change Adaptation Mitigation, Chure Conservation, Disaster Risk Reduction Management, Biodiversity Conservation and Humanitarian Support including Organizational Development and GEDSI. It works with a vision for Building a Civilized and Prosperous Society with Equality and Social Justice in Nepal since 2006. It works with a mission to improve the lives of people through economic, social, cultural and physical transformation. It has been implementing Sponsorship Project partnership with Save the Children in Mahottari District.

Position: Psychosocial Counselor (Female only)

Required No.: 1 (One) 

Duty Station: Central Office, Bardibas (80% field visit in project area)

Required qualification, experience, skill and knowledge

Education: The candidate must have a bachelor's degree in any discipline along with six-month psychosocial counseling training or Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Counseling Psychology. A master’s degree in psychology would be preferable.

Experience: At least one year of working experience as a psychosocial counselor.

Skills:

• Able to work in self-motivated and case-focused counseling in communities. 
• Able to provide orientation/training on psychosocial counseling.
• Able to provide individual and group counseling at home, school, and community.
• Skills and ability to work on the computer and use email, and internet. Able to prepare reports in Microsoft Word and Excel and submit them to the PC and SCI’s focal person.
• Preference will be given to those who can understand and speak local languages and have their own two-wheeler vehicle with a valid license.
