Transcultural Psychosocial Organization Nepal (TPO Nepal) is one of Nepal’s leading psychosocial organization. It was established in 2005 with the aim of promoting psychosocial well-being and mental health of children and families in conflict affected and other vulnerable communities through the development of sustainable, culturally-appropriate, and community-based psychosocial support systems. The organization invites application from qualified Nepali nationals for one of its project in Ramechhap district.
Post – Psychosocial Counsellor
Number of vacancy : 2
Duty Location: Ramechhap (Manthali municipality and Khadadevi rural municipality)
Duration: 10 Months (possibility of extension)
Starting Date: At the earliest
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCES AND COMPETENCIES
- At least intermediate level or equivalent degree with 6 months training on psychosocial counselling (Bachelor’s degree in psychology preferred)
- Minimum one-year working experience in psychosocial field
- Able to provide psychosocial counseling
- Skills to supervise and mentor community based psychosocial workers
- Must have good communication and correspondence skills with excellent spoken Nepali and local language
- Willingness to travel to rural areas of the district
- Must be flexible with working hours
- Preference will be given to local applicants
