Health Foundation Nepal (HFN) is recruiting a qualified and experienced candidate to implement the Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) Study Project in the Dang district.

Qualifications/ Duty Station: Master of Public Health (MPH Preferred) / BPH with at least 2 years of relevant experience can apply. /Ghorahi-6, Dang

Salary/Duration: As per organizational norms/job contract will be for two years with the possibility of an extension.

Job Summary:

The NCD Project Coordinator will lead community-based NCD programs in Dang, acting as the local Principal Investigator (PI) to ensure research integrity. Responsibilities include needs assessment, program implementation, overseeing research activities for the NCD Nepal study, collaborating with government entities and stakeholders to advocate for NCD prioritization, and managing the NCD observer-ship/internship program (including recruitment, training, and liaison duties). Also, work with national key players to coordinate activities to inform national policy.

Responsibilities/Competencies:

  • Plan, execute, and provide technical assistance for community-based NCD research screening clinics and maintain project outcomes through field follow-up.
  • Oversee the smooth operation of NCD clinics and follow-ups and ensure quality data collection.
  • Basic understanding of community health needs assessment and contribution to NCD intervention design and implementation.
  • Familiarity with research design, data collection, ethical conduct, and a strong interest in field-based public health research.
  • Demonstrated interest and emerging skills in scientific writing (literature reviews, abstracts, manuscript drafting).
  • Willingness to engage with health stakeholders and support coordination and documentation.
  • Good communication skills in English and Nepali, with organizational skills, a collaborative spirit, and adaptability.
