Human Rights and Environment Development Centre (HuRENDEC) Nepal, Kalikot has been well established in Kalikot and working in Karnali region for more than 2 decade. The organization has been working on need based action orientated multi-disciplinary areas through social mobilization especially focusing on human rights, livelihood, micro enterprise, infrastructure, climate change, cash for work, lobby/advocacy, empowerment, disaster management, natural resource management and ecofriendly infrastructure. 

HuRENDEC Kalikot has been implementing “Girls Standing Strong (GSS)" project in partnership with Plan International Nepal in Raskot Municipality of Kalikot district. The duration of project is 3 years. The key goal of the project is that all child, adolescent and young (CAY) particularly girls and young women enjoy their rights to live free from child, early and forced marriage (CEFM). For this, HuRENDEC Kalikot invites application from result oriented and highly motivated Nepalese candidate for the following positions. 

1. Position: Project Coordinator -1

Contract Type: H-SC 7

Duty Station: Raskot Municipality, Kalikot (frequently movement in project areas)

Report to: Program Director 

Salary and Benefits: As per the organization's norms commensurate with the project agreement

Minimum Qualification and Experience

Bachelor Degree (Masters Degree preferred) in social science, education or related subjects with a minimum 5 years work experience in managing and implementing projects with 3 years intensive experience with multiple sectoral components (education,  ECD, protection, youth empowerment, SRHR, WASH, DRR and nutrition) and with diverse team members in a relevant field, such as management, social science or education is preferred, as well as proven ability to manage risks and promote governance to contribute to strategic outcomes. Able to communicate in English and Nepali (local language added value).

Major Responsibilities

The Project Coordinator will be responsible to lead on project management and coordination with stakeholders. The incumbent will be responsible for mobilizing team and supporting government for achieving project goal and results. The focus will be capacity building of target groups, changing social norms and system strengthening in the project area for ensuring rights of children, adolescent, girl and young women whereby they live and lead.
