Organization Profile:

Youth Alliance for Development (YARD) is a non-governmental, autonomous and youth led organization established in 2011. It provides a common platform for collaboration, cooperation, and collective endeavor within a Kailali district. YARD was registered with the District Administration Office (DAO), Kailali in 2012 and has its affiliation with the Social Welfare Council (SWC) of Nepal.

YARD, in collaboration with World Vision International Nepal (WVIN), is implementing the Inclusive Quality Education (IQE) project to enhance learning outcomes for children in grades 1 to 3, emphasizing caregiver involvement. This initiative is currently underway in Tikapur and Bhajani municipalities within the Kailali district, aiming to boost literacy levels among young learners in their early education years. The project begins with intensive training for teachers in inclusive education principles, forming a strong foundation for an inclusive and conducive learning environment. It extends its impact through meticulously organized study camps, totaling 42, targeting grades 1 to 3, providing a rich and immersive learning experience. These camps are equipped with vital resources such as storybooks and accommodation support within school premises, promoting a comprehensive approach to academic advancement. Additionally, the project is dedicated to engaging the community, conducting informative sessions for parents to encourage positive parenting and address the specific needs of vulnerable children by offering essential supplies like bags, copies, and pens. Special attention is directed towards children with functional limitations, offering tailored assistance including assistive materials and personalized educational plans to support their educational journey.
