1. About U-GO Nepal
U-GO Nepal is a non-governmental social organization registered in 2023 and affiliated with the Social Welfare Council (SWC) of Nepal. Guided by the core conviction that 'Talent is universal; opportunity is not,' U-GO Nepal transforms communities by empowering promising young women from marginalized and economically disadvantaged backgrounds to pursue and complete higher education (bachelor's degrees).
U-GO Nepal delivers a comprehensive model combining financial scholarship support with non-financial capacity building, including life skills training, mentorship, psychosocial guidance, and career readiness initiatives. Through structured execution, U-GO ensures scholars achieve academic excellence, personal growth, and economic independence.
2. Position Overview
The Program Operations Manager serves as a key member of the Senior Management Team (SMT) and is responsible for overall operational leadership, strategic execution, and programmatic performance across U-GO Nepal. Working in close alignment with the approved Annual Work Plan and organizational vision, the Manager ensures that all activities, training cycles, scholarship disbursements, and field operations are delivered on schedule and with high quality standards.

Establish, nurture, and expand relationships with government ministries, local government units (Municipalities/Wards), and education authorities.
Program Operations & Annual Plan Execution (25%): Translate strategic priorities into actionable annual operational plans, detailed activity calendars, and resource allocation frameworks. Direct and oversee daily program execution, ensuring scholarship activities, workshops, mentorship sessions, and field outreach align with the approved calendar and quality standards.
Team Leadership & Strategic Direction (20%): Supervise program officers, field coordinators, and support staff, setting clear performance expectations, deliverables, and operational priorities. Provide coaching, professional support, and structural guidance to team members, and conduct regular performance evaluations.
Budget Oversight, Risk & Reporting (15%): Monitor program budgets and operational expenses in coordination with finance, identifying field constraints early to implement proactive risk mitigation. Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, annual, and SWC progress reports for executive leadership, board members, and government stakeholders.
