National Campaign for Education Nepal (NCE Nepal) is a national network comprising 508 organizations, including I/NGOs, teacher associations, media networks, and community-based groups, all dedicated to promoting the right to education and lifelong learning for children and adults in Nepal. NCE Nepal primarily engages in advocacy, lobbying, campaigning and evidence-based research to inform education policies and programs. For over two decades, it has championed good governance and education advocacy through the collective efforts of civil society organizations (CSOs).

With support from the European Union (EU), NCE Nepal is working in partnership with Global Action Nepal (GAN) and the Nepal Disabled Women Association (NDWA) to implement the Civil Society Participation in Education (COPE) project. This initiative seeks to strengthen the public education system and enhance access to free, inclusive and equitable quality education especially in Madesh and Karnali Provinces through active and meaningful civil society participation.

NCE Nepal is seeking qualified, motivated and dedicated candidates for the position of Program Coordinator.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design, plan and implement programs and events and ensure proper documentation of the programs and events organized
  • Support members in conducting advocacy, campaigning and partnership development at the different levels.
  • Ensure quality monitoring of activities implemented by its members and partners.
  • Coordinate with Project Partners, members and networks for enhancing the partnership
  • Document lesson learnt, best practices and success stories of the advocacy & campaign
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, semi -annual and annual project report as per the requirement of the project.

Qualification, Skills and Knowledge:

  • Master’s in education or others subjects as equivalent with 3 years of experience or Bachelor in Education or other subject as equivalent with 5 years of experience
  • Demonstrated technical skills in writing, data analysis and research
  • Sound knowledge on human rights to education child rights and issues of SDG4
  • Good skills on networking, coordination, communication, management, advocacy and campaigning
  • Good interpersonal skills to deal with the colleagues in the organization and capability and willingness to work under the pressures and multiple deadlines
