About Organization:
Education, Training, and Service for Community (ETSC) Nepal is a non-governmental, non-partisan, and non-profit organization based in Hetauda Municipality. Founded by local leaders in 1998 and officially registered in 1999 at the Makwanpur District Administration Office, ETSC Nepal has since been committed to empowering socially and economically marginalized groups, fostering dignity, equality, and sustainable livelihoods.

Project: Women Empowerment for Sustainable Environment (WESE)
Position: Program Coordinator
Duty Station: ETSC Nepal at Hetauda 15 with frequent field visits to project sites.
Reports to: Executive Chief
Contract Type: Fixed-term
Project Duration: 3 years (July 2023-July 2026)
Duration: 9 months with a possibility of expansion
Position Summary:
This role leads the design, management, and implementation of projects with a focus on protection, resilience, environment protection, capacity strengthening, and compliance, while ensuring effective coordination with government, donors, and stakeholders. It also oversees administration, logistics, and procurement.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
1) Project Management, and Implementation
- Lead the execution of all project activities as outlined in the annual work plan, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality outputs.
- Establish and maintain constructive working relations with other like-minded organizations, local and district/province level Government departments.
- Maintaining online track system of the projects during project cycle management.
- Develop forms and format during and monthly, quarterly, semiannually and yearly projects and organization’s annual report.
- Real-Time Monitoring & Reporting: Create, update, and generate reports from the Project TRACK Online System, ensuring timely updates and compliance.
- Impact Reporting: Prepare monthly, semi-annual, and annual reports, reflecting project progress and outcomes including organizational annual report.
- Training & Capacity Building: Organize Trainings, workshops to enhance skills and knowledge of the staff and project participants.
- Develop, monitor, and manage program budgets to ensure efficient use of resources and adherence to financial guidelines.
2) Government Liaison and Donor Relation:
- Coordinated with government agencies including Social Work Council (SWC), local governments, District Administration Office (Makawanpur), District Coordination Committee, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure compliance and obtain necessary approvals.
- Managed donor communication and reporting to maintain funding relationships.
3) Administration, Logistic and Procurement Management:
- Supports, admin and finance department in plan and manage logistics operations including procurement, transportation, and distribution of program materials.
- Supports, admin and finance department to ensure timely availability of resources and equipment for program activities.
- Supports, admin and finance department to maintain accurate records of inventory, assets, and expenses to ensure accountability.
- Support regarding liaise with vendors and suppliers to secure cost-effective and quality services.
- Coordinate logistics for events, training, workshop, and field visits, including venue, accommodation, and travel arrangements.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and donor regulations on logistics and procurement.
4) Disaster Management and Safeguarding (focal)
- Led disaster risk reduction (DRR) and emergency response training, assessments, and workshops.
- Built humanitarian response and capacity through regulation adherence and effective delivery.
- Ensured safeguarding through training, awareness, compliance monitoring, and reporting mechanisms.
- Receiving, reporting, and responding to safeguarding concerns, ensuring they are addressed confidentially, appropriately, and in line with organizational policies.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A Bachelor's degree is required, and a Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred. Relevant fields include: Management, Environmental Science, Economics, Development Studies, Public Health, Education, Agriculture, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-4 years of professional experience in project coordination, preferably within the civil society or non-profit sector.
- Proven experience in project coordination, grant, and report writing is a significant advantage.
- Strong facilitation and communication skills.
- Ability to plan, implement, and monitor multiple activities simultaneously.
- Proficiency in report writing and documentation.
- Willingness to travel frequently to rural and remote areas.
- Cultural sensitivity and ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
- Good command of English and Nepali language (written and spoken) is essential.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, and the Internet is required.
