Develop and Pilot Online Training Modules for the TVET Instructors

Swisscontact is an independent non-profit development organisation established in 1959 by representatives of the Swiss private sector and civil society. Our development work focuses on private sector-led, sustainable economic development with improved quality of life for all in developing and emerging countries. A key focus is to strengthen the skills of individuals and foster the competitiveness of businesses.

Swisscontact, registered as an International Non-Governmental Organisation in Nepal, has been operating in Nepal since 1991. Currently, Swisscontact Nepal has five development programmes across all seven provinces, with a well-functioning country office that employs over 145 staff members.

The Quality Technical and Vocational Education and Training for Youth (QualiTY) Project is providing support to each sphere of the government to fulfil its constitutional mandate in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET). The support will enhance TVET school’s performance and ultimately the quality of the graduates for better employment prospects. In this connection, to enhance the competencies of TVET instructors, the Training Institute for Technical Instruction (TITI), in collaboration with the QualiTY Project, is introducing an Online Training Modules for TVET Instructors.

Interested consulting firms are invited to submit their Expression of Interest (EOI) to support this initiative and to meet the outlined requirements: -

• Assess the need for an online platform for instructor training based on TITI standards.
• Design training course modules with interactive content (e.g. videos, quizzes, animations, assignments).
• Develop an open-source e-learning management system with automated certification.
