Since then, IRDS is fully dedicated to work in humanitarian assistance, community development, livelihood, child well-being, and environmental protection mainly in the Terai region of Nepal through the humanitarian and long-term development projects.

In partnership with World Vision International Nepal, IRDS Mahottari initiate working on “Integrated Nutrition and Resilient Livelihood (INRL)” in two Rural Municipality Ekdara and Samsi Rural Municipality. IRDS Mahottari is seeking qualified, dynamic and motivated Nepali citizens on the following positions.

Nutrition Field Officer (2)

Bachelor’s degree in Health/Health Education or in any relevant discipline with 2 year of experience in health/nutrition sector

  • Basic knowledge on maternal child health and nutrition
  • General understanding of government policies, priorities, needs and issues related to health and nutrition
  • Carry out key actions on Growth Monitoring Promotion (GMP)
  • Mobilization & supervision of PD hearth volunteer & PD hearth sessions, data entry, follow up and monitoring
  • Mobilization of FCHVs for Health Mothers Group (HMG) and Support Group (SG) meeting
  • Capacity building and mobilization of Citizen Voice and Action (CVA) groups
  • Basic understanding of development approach
  • Good interpersonal skills and maintain good relationship with local government, health facility, PHCORC, and FCHVs
  • Facilitate meeting of FSNSC at Palika/Ward level
  • Good meeting facilitation and documentation skills
  • Presentation skills in different forum and network
  • Monitoring and report writing skills
  • Knowledge around CFLG, NFLG, MSNP mechanism at the local level
  • Computer and Technology literacy; Good computer skills including Word and Excel [preferred]
  • Two-wheeler driving license-[Preferred]
