If you are willing to take leadership in this exciting work, TSK invites you to apply for the position of Multimedia Production Officer (MPO). Below are the Terms of Reference for this position:

In close coordination with and strategic guidance from the Communications and Knowledge Management Coordinator, Multimedia Production officer will take the lead in designing and producing the multimedia materials to achieve TSK’s mission and objectives. Multimedia Production Officer is responsible for creating, producing, and editing multimedia content for a variety of communication channels of TSK.

Some major responsibilities of the Multimedia Production Officer (MPO) will include: 

  • Conceptualization: Develop concepts and ideas for multimedia content that align with the organization's branding and messaging.
  • Production: Produce multimedia content, such as videos, podcasts, animations, and interactive media, using industry-standard tools and software.
  • Editing: Edit and refine multimedia content to ensure high-quality production values and consistency with the organization's branding and messaging.
  • Scriptwriting: Write scripts for multimedia content, such as videos and podcasts, that effectively convey key messages and engage the audience.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with other teams, such as communication, marketing, and design, to ensure multimedia content is aligned with broader communication and branding strategies.
  • Equipment and Facilities: Maintain and operate multimedia production equipment and facilities to ensure smooth and efficient production processes.
  • Innovation: Stay up-to-date with emerging multimedia technologies and tools, and recommend innovative approaches to multimedia production.
  • Metrics and Evaluation: Develop metrics and evaluation criteria to assess the effectiveness of multimedia content and identify areas for improvement.
  • Training: Organize Training for team members to enhance their knowledge and skills in multimedia production.

Required qualifications, knowledge and experience: 

  • Applicant will have a Bachelors’ Degree in Communication/Journalism or other related field with at least five years of work experience in similar position/ responsibility.
  • Demonstrated ability in multimedia production skills, with experience in video and audio production, editing, post-production, graphic design and photography.
  • Good track record of using multimedia production tools and software.
  • Excellent command of both Nepali and English language (written and spoken). 
  • Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills   
  • The applicant will be a good facilitator, inspiring leader, and passionate advocate for women's rights.
  • The working knowledge and experience on storytelling  and good knowledge of Nepali Media Landscape would be an added value. 
  • The applicant will be a person of high integrity, committed to meeting deadlines and should have a passionate belief in The Story Kitchen's vision and mission.
